nnI had a very upsetting experience at TK Maxx today at 7pm. While leaving the store with my 4-year-old after paying for a watch and a necklace, the security alarm beeped as at least 3 if not 4 customers exited together including me. A male staff member ginger hair and beard stopped only me, ignoring the other people who left at the same time even though another staff member said to him“ i think it's those people in the front.”nnHe spoke over me while i am asking him several times why he is not stoping the others too and treated me subtly as if I was stealing, with a condescending tone, while completely dismissing what I and his colleague said. As a person of color, this felt discriminatory and humiliating, especially in front of my child. This experience has ruined my evening and I want it addressed!!— I’ll also be making a formal complaint.
Wow shocking way to treat customers walk in ten minutes before closing time to be told by manageress they are closed,I said you don't close until half four.told to grab what I need then go to till,I had a very very quick look for what I wanted,there were at least seven different ethnicity people there not one member of staff was telling them to make their way to the till. They were STILL browsing with no sign of rushing to a queue for the till.when I got served I pointed this out to be told ' they have been told and they don't listen!' ...when I got what I wanted manageress two staff chatting away without a care in the world.seems as though if you're local you're ok.bet they bought nothing .if tk maxx treats certain people like second class citizens,and are abrupt,don't then complain if they don't come back.totally no need for it...no I am NOT racist just don't like how some people can do as they please and no one says a word to them.
my dad went in to return an item there was no queue and he went straight to the till checkout, the lady refused to serve him and told him to follow the aisle that was empty… my dad did that and then she told him he can’t return the item despite recognising it is from TkMaxx. The lady turned my dad away and proceeded to laugh with her colleague. My dad felt uncomfortable and found the service very rude and disappointing.
I came in today and Stephen who served me on the till was so helpful and friendly and he is a credit to the store .
Great stuff, Newport outlet is way better then rest of outlets in Wales
