Stopped in based on our guides recommendations as one of the more popular places to eat in town. We chose the plain hamburger as one of the safe options and it was ok. The dinner theme could use an update as it has items from the 60's though the 2000's. The service took a bit longer than anticipated as we only had an hour to stop and didn't get much time to really enjoy the place.
Service was fast and there's plenty of empty tables. Menu has burgers, all day breakfast, toasties and other foods. Nothing particularly Scottish, in fact, the place looks like an American diner. We had a breakfast muffin and a halloumi toastie.
Stopped in for some breakfast on our road trip. Staff were very friendly, very fast service. We got the pancakes and they were really tasty! Cute wee diner stop on the road.Recommended dishesSausage & Bacon Muffin, Pancake Breakfast Plate
Lovely authentic diner, great food, fast service and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend if you’re passing!
I stopped in here for lunch on the WHW West Highland Way having passed it so many times before. I was initially after a pizza but as neither restaurant close by offered this I decided to give TJ's a try. Not wanting to pay top price for a burger after a disappointment a few days later I chose to opt for the Patty Melt Toastie and glad that I did. The pattys are advertised as handmade with fresh local ingredients and I fully believe it. This was possibly one of the best patty's I've had in a very long time. Simple, honest, no messing around food. Toasted bread, cheese and meat outshone other burgers along the way which were trying to be more. If they are making their burgers like this and this quality stays the same then they're onto a winner. I did see other orders which were coming out in baskets like you see in 80s American movies and they all looked great. After so many times passing this American Diner in the Highlands I'll definitely not pass it again when looking for quick, no nonsense, filling food. Parking: A large car park surrounds the building. Wheelchair accessibility: Sits on one level and is accessed from street with double opening doors. I believe I saw a disabled accessible toilet within hallway.
Stopped in on our way to Edinburgh. My wife and I both had the burger and fries and everything was cooked to perfection. Quick service and delicious food. Food was out within 10 minutes of ordering. Best burger I've had in a long time. The lady that served us was awesome aswell and so friendly and reasonably priced for the quality of food
Stopped in for lunch, had the spicy chicken stack burger with fries, quality was good as was quantity, only slight things were the spicy chicken not being very spicy and the buns could do with being toasted so they don't fall apart from the mayo and salsa or using lettuce leaves as a moisture barrier. Very tasty nonetheless and I can certainly recommend it.
Staff weren’t very friendly at all, felt like you were a burden when asking for basic things like sauces, and no clear area to wait for your takeaway order which meant a telling off from one of the servers. Food wait was quite a while despite not being terribly busy. When food came it seemed very overpriced for the size of the portion. Next stop in the area will definitely go to the Real Food Cafe instead, much better and friendlier staff.
Great breakfast muffin, good quality produce, freshly made at reasonable price. Great service too. EV Chargers outside also although I think they're technically part of the real food cafe's car park next door.Food: 5/5
Having had a holiday home Florida for 16 yrs, i think i know how these establishments look. The owners need a trip to the US, putting up a few posters of film stars does not work. The food was even less inspiring.
