It is a great trail, the route from Ashbourne is a steady 1.5 - 2% gradient all the way to Parsley Hay so don’t be fooled in to going too hard or it’ll wear you out fast. Fantastic view and wildlife all the way but it can get busy on holidays and weekends which will slow your bike ride down.
Wonderful trail which takes you along the old tracks. I have done from parsley hay to Ashbourne in a wheelchair and a powered trike. More downhill going towards Ashbourne. Coming back is a steady but tiring climb. Views are stunning. They have bikes for hire at both parsley hay and Ashbourne. They have a tramper and other disability cycles. I love it here xx
Good place to get lost in the nature. Quite and calm. You can jog a bit and come back or if you are determined- go extra mile, you won't regret it either!
An equally beautiful trail, when compared with the Monsal trail. Very long trail, ideal for walking, cycling and running.nUnique landscapes of the fields and its animals.nThroughout the trail there are a few shop, where you can hire a bike.nHighly recommended.
