Food? Children's burger on a brioche bun? Sweet odd mix. Garlic mushrooms for the price, very small portion and small piece of ciabatta bread. Not enough for dipping. Food over priced for what it was. Lovely building. Lovely staff. Good service.
I wanted to thank the staff and the manager for being nice to us when, we had an issue, it was resolved quickly and in a professional manner , i couldnt ask for a better experience in getting the situation resolved... thank you and i came here last year for full rack of ribs and there the best i had, beat TGI fridays hands down... I have just ordered a cheese and bacon burger and looks and tastes gorgeous, thank you robin hood team.. all the best for the new year..
Great place to pop into for lunch if you're in the area. Having just been to Pennington flash it was a well deserved lunch. Proper home cooked food.
The decor is lovely and the area is very clean, which has been long awaited. The food used to be reasonably priced and tasty. How can the establishment warrant charging £11 for pie hard as rock pastry, chips and peas and £15 for a curry acceptable quality at lunch time.
Called at 4pm not having booked. We were shown to a table and asked to vacate by5-30pm. Fair enough. Pleasantly surprised how good the food was. Everything was delicious. The place had been refurbished and it’s a lot cleaner. More expensive than before. But far better food.
Nice pub just next to Pennington Flash. We came for a Sunday roast after walking the dogs. Wasn't too busy and it has a nice garden which we sat in with the dogs. Ordered the chicken and duo beef & pork roasts which were ok. Good portions for the price but quality not the best.
We came for an early Christmas dinner last weekend. There were 8 of us and we had each pre-ordered our 3 courses from the set menu. As soon as we sat down, we were told that one of the starters wasn’t available due to delivery issues so those who had ordered it could pick any starter from the set menu or main menu at no extra cost. The food was good, the portions were generous, and there was a comfortable 15-20 minute gap between courses, which we felt was perfect. The atmosphere was nice as always and the 2 Craft beers on draught were a welcome addition.
Went here for a new years eve meal and entertainment. Was sat down quickly ond orders were taken in good time. Food was good and service was spot on. Laura and nigel were the hosts and they were very welcoming. Had a good night there into the new year. Good all round experience. Thank you
Unfortuately we were disappointed at the menu since the refurb. It's lost the liver, chilli, stewed steak - all of which were favourites of our group. What we had was quite edible but a bit pricey. Waitress really busy - coffees took forever.
We visited yesterday three of the dishes we asked for were not available But no apology was given. The waitress just said “ haven’t got any” She did not direct us to the festive menu where other dishes were available . That in its self was bad enough but the food was dreadful I ordered roast beef All the vegetables were frozen and tasteless the beef was ok but this was all swimming in instant gravy . All in all the worse roast dinner ever
