We employed Origen for a company project to give advice and facilitate the transfer of final salary pensions.  The process is long and arduous with lots of information requested at all stages of the enquiry.  The decisions that are being made are life changing and the  results could change the way you spend your entire retirement. Keith has been thoughtful and approachable all the way through the project and continues to be on all the regular reviews we have. Pensions are not straightforward, Keith has explained the process in a way which we can understand and guided us to look for the best outcome. This company was referred to me by the place I used to work for as I requested to transfer my pension and take a 25% tax free lump sum. Endless forms sent to me requiring personal information of myself and of my spouse, consent not given for my spouse's details. After initial phone interview with the advisor appointed to me I was told without all the information requested then they could not proceed. I told him of our current circumstances and the reasons behind us needing the money however I got no sympathy and he had no empathy, basically was only interested in telling me all the legal required jargon. This eventually resulted in us jointly terminating the consultation. I raised a complaint with the company and his manager called me, I'm just waiting for the complaint forms to be mailed to me now. Steer clear of this financial advisory company.

Excellent financial advice received from our first meeting and through the recent market downturn.  The regular contact and arranged meetings has ensured our finances are in a strong position going forwards into our retirement life. Our personal advisor, Vanessa McCoy, was superb, ensuring all advice was in our best possible interest whilst maximising potential returns.

I was considering retiring early 62 and after speaking to Standard Life I didn’t think it would be possible. I was introduced to Alan who was recommended by a colleague. I met Alan and immediately thought he was friendly and professional. He researched the market and recommended an annuity provider whose offer was considerably better than what I thought was possible. Consequently I was able to proceed with my retirement plans. I would not hesitate to recommend Alan as a IFA.
