Held a Surprise 70th Birthday Party at the Clubhouse recently and it was a huge success. Great location, delicious food buffet. Nothing was too much trouble for Terry, Stuart and the team. In fact they made it extra special. Many thanks and hope to find another excuse to return.
The course itself is in a great location in a forest and being surrounded by trees on every hole makes it a very picturesque course to play. It's also quite challenging with lots of tight and dog-legged holes.nnHowever, the course is badly let down by very poor maintenance. On lots of fairways there were many, many piles of soil covering what I presume is handiwork by moles or badgers. These piles appeared to have been there for quite some time. Worst of all though was the greens maintenance. The greens looked great, but they just hadn't bothered to cut the grass. I've never seen such long grass on greens. The grass length was what you'd expect on the fringe - not on the green. I guess they'd be around 1 on the stimpmeter. This rather ruined what otherwise would be an enjoyable course to play on.
This place has so much potential it’s unbelievable. The holes are actually amazing but the fairways are terrible. I wasn’t sure what was fairway and what was rough. The greens were like the moon with what looked like meteor hits all over them. I think with a bit of money spent on this course, it could be in the top 100 for sure. Overall i enjoyed it but there’s so much wrong with it
This is a great facility that offers an 18 hole course and driving range with ray tracer at every bay. The course is quite challenging too as well. They rent clubs if you like me are visiting the area and don’t have any. The staff is awesome and extremely friendly. If I come back to this area of England, then I’m definitely hitting this course again.
A nice technical course where you won't need to use your driver much. When we played it was very boggy and muddy in places with people saying it should be closed. However, we managed all 18, most of the mat and had a great day. For the price it's great value and I'm hoping to go back again. Nice place for coffee after too.
