Came here for my wife's cousins 21st as a family group of 15. Food was excellent - as you expect from a Italian run Italian restaurant. Had some mess up with the main course, where the wrong names were given on the food, so the wrong people started eating the wrong foods. However no stars were lost for us, as they not only quickly 5 to 10mins got the right food redone but also apologised and gave a free bottle of wine. Mistakes happen everywhere and how places deal with them properly is what shows a place has excellent service.
Fantastic decor, really lovely looking place it was completely empty when I arrived, so looked very tidy!. Attentive staff, flexible with the choices. Starter was okay - the rice was slightly undercooked, but the sauce was good. Main of pasta and duck was delicious. The house wine wasn't dreadful, which was a really nice change from almost every Italian I've ever eaten in! Prices weren't unreasonable for the quality - good value for money.
I just can’t say enough good things about this place. They staff and management are attentive without being over the top, the menu and drinks selection is great. They have a lot of early bird specials and offer menus which are helpful for those who want to eat out but sometimes can’t justify the cost. I am not originally from the Preston area and got taken here by my wife. Wow – the food speaks for itself. Authentic Italian food and Italian owned. We originally went here as Pizza express Preston was busy 3 years ago I have never been back to Pizza Ex since!! I feel privileged that this restaurant is within 5 miles of my house! I can’t wait until they open one on Buckshaw Village!!! 3 months to go I’m told!
Went in worried after reading reviews, tho only 11, so had to post our truth. Fillet steak amazing. Very tender and one of best I have ever had and I'm sixty!! so I have eaten a few. Service ok but could be better. Women nicest, bloke a bit too sarky. Even so place almost empty on an early Sat evening and Valentine's Sat at that and when we wanted a few more minutes we wished we hadn't as I cudn attract anyones attention whilst 3 and then 4 of the women had a long chat at the bar for ages. We would have had more drinks probably twice more and puddings etc but needed to go home and sleep!! After we had decided to go at least 3 women came up and were really lovely but too late folks sorry. Dinner was excellent though and the vegetables were perfect, absolutely perfect so I would go and eat there again. Jen and Monty from North Yorkshire
Very rarely would I give something 5 stars, but to give it anything less would be wrong. Walked in off the street yesterday, just myself and partner. Made to feel very welcome upon arrival, they sorted us out straight away with a table. Food was lovely, tried the lobster special, pizza and a sharing starter type thing. All the staff and in particular the owner I suspect, were really attentive and it was such a refreshing change. We eat out a lot and this was by far the warmest and most valued we both had felt in a long time. Carry on Doug what you doing!!!
Bad experience at a Xmas meal- poor quality food at over inflated prices. Poor customer service in sorting complaint out - basically never got back to me after chasing several times - had over a month to sort out. Don't waste your money- there are plenty of better places to eat in town.
The food was poor, I ordered Steak Diane which when it came was a tuff piece of meat covered in what i can only described as dark congealed gravy not the creamy tasty Diane sauce that other restaurants serve! Also my friends pasta dish was runny & the pasta under cooked, some of our party of 10 said their meal was ok but we would definitley not recommend!! Plus side the waiters & waitresses were very nice!
I found the food incredibly filling and absolutely tasty, the service from the waiters was very professional and I was happy with the timing between ordering food, and receiving. I deducted one star because of trouble trying to reserve a table, seemingly Tiggis has gone to the trouble of offering the option of reserving on their website, fill in the form and submit. The problem was that this led to a provisional and automatic email being sent to me, but id received no human interaction guaranteeing said reservation was available to me. To compound the issue I was unable to contact Tiggis via phone during normal operating hours which in my view is downright absurd for a professional restaurant. I was finally able to secure my reservation via Tiggis Facebook group of all places. Despite the problems of reserving, I had a great meal with my SO, the atmosphere was warm, cosy and absolutely friendly. I would definitely revisit Tiggis in the near future.
Food was good, but service wasn't great , we got are starters and main at the same time... i asked for lemonade and was given lemon and lime... it was just very difficult and we rushed when it was really quiet.
Best creme brulee! Nice pasta dishes, good Italian food. Usually not too busy and generally friendly waiters and waitresses.
