I often come swimming during the Open Pool. It's a relaxed atmosphere and give's me time just to swim
It's a great place for a good price, but when you book they're are 200 spaces. It's too many people for the area and when you've got small kids with older children jumping into the pool you don't really have anywhere to go.
This place is not worth 1 star Dirty and smelly changing rooms. Too many people swimming at once Swimming pool was cold . Slide open just shuts 5min later Small slide was not open No wave machine For the price it costs for family ,i wouldn't bother .
Quite a good family pool, mostly quite clean but would recommend elsewhere if your looking to swim some lengths.
My toddler loves coming here with all the slides and we all have fun. The only thing I woukd say the changing rooms are either super hot or super cold and has been smelling for some time now.
Our first visit today, super surprised by the *1 star review because in comparison to Kingsmead in Canterbury or Faversham Pools, this was immaculate. Friendly reception staff, very clean changing rooms, warm pool and the kids loved it! Free parking too. What’s not to like?!
Great gym. The swimming pool is more like a paddling pool but is ok if you are not into strenuous swimming. Exercises classes for all ages and levels of fitness and with excellent instructors. They have loss the yoga teacher Katy Allen, who is a first class instructor, highly professional and with a very deep knowledge of her discipline and is working in only in the Dover leisure centre now. A big loss for Tides. Otherwise the gym remains OK.
My boy had alot of fun here, the waves wasn't that great though Edited five years later April 2023: from four stars to three. my kid still loves it. But the wave machine STILL isn't working, I can't remember when it last worked, I doubt it ever will again. In fact, the only thing working was the main slide. Even the baby slide was out of order. The chips were £2.60 per portion and the portion size was half of what it should be.
Like the swimming pool not so much the price haven't use the other facility's life guards are good and are on there toes at all times
Great fun slides for the kids big and little, a good price for entry. shame the waves were out of order but don't think the kids even noticed there were none. Lifeguards are fab and quick to stip any issues arising. Felt very safe for all the kids.
