Very good customer service. We had a five bar gate fitted and needed some adjustment a couple of times because of usual movement in the wood. Very responsive and pleasant to deal with.
Unfortunately the shed leaked. They came back to fix it but unfortunately that did not work and additional leaks were found after this point. After the second fix the shed was still leaking. Appreciated the attempts as such and we were then advised that a full replacement would be built/installed. At this point I would’ve been ok with a discussion/refund/return but this was not raised and on the basis I needed a shed; these things happen?, a replacement had been built and general goodwill we were happy to have a replacement. Received email following on from the replacement confirmation to say they had a cancellation and could come that day. Let them in, offered a drink etc and left them to it as requested. I then got a knock on the door and was advised that they had taken the shed and they were not going to replace it. I get product faults/repairs happen but the way we were treated was just deceitful and unacceptable. Was also advised that this is a “1 in 100” issue so would expect a replacement to back this statement. Refund received a couple of days later and back to the drawing board. Requested apology
Went in 1st customer on Easter Saturday really helpful sales staff and a really helpful yard man loading awkward and bulky panels etc just managed to get it all in your all a credit to the company
Having had to terminate an extensive garden project with another contractor, we approached Tate Fencing to correct already executed jobs and complete other projects in our garden, including strengthening of the poorly installed gazebo structure and replace its unsuitable leaking cover with EPDM, build a 15 feet lean-to covered with EPDM and assemble a new log cabin despite the previously laid foundation not being level as explained by the previous contractor for the purpose of "water running off” - do not let anyone do the same to you…. From the point of our first visit to the office of Tate Fencing to the completion of all projects, all staff we dealt with were magnificent and attentive to our requirements and kept us up to date at all stages of work. Although we had to wait a while before Tate Fencing could start the jobs as the whole world seems to be doing the same as us at present we were happy to wait and Graham ensured our expectations were well managed with timely communication and clear arrangements. The jobs were carried out by Tibor and Robert of Tate Fencing, who did such a great job and were professional, quick and efficient. They showed up on time, worked hard, always ensured I was clear what and how they were going to do, cleaned up and completed the projects quickly and as scheduled. We would definitely recommend Tate Fencing to anyone looking to undertake garden improvements.
Fencing arrived as promised very pleased. I used 6" hand auger in medium clay, had to widen holes a bit and then backfilled with postcrete.
Went to the Flimwell branch Today and the service I received was top class. I made a mistake on the diameter of material I purchased and when I released I asked them to change the order they did so with grace. I have used this company many times and will continue to do so with the superb service and products. The prices are reasonable and the quality excellent.
The best supplier around great company and always reliable even when I squeeze a job in at short notice my materials are always ready for me. I won’t go anywhere else. For the person moaning about different prices for different people when you spend so much with them a month maybe your get more discount doesn’t matter what gender you are.
We use Tate in Flimwell because their friendly, customer service is completely ace, they supply great quality timber & materials and are utterly fab folk to work with. I have no hesitation in recommending them to friends and businesses alike. They are reliable and experts at what they do. They take time to get to know their customers & client businesses who benefit from their excellent eye for detail. I have always been made to feel incredibly welcome - it's what makes them stand out as a team, all of whom are brilliant. They absolutely deserve a five-star review.
Just had a 12x8ft shed installed on 15/06/20. The two guys Matt and Jamie did an excellent job. The product, installation and overall service were excellent throughout. Many thanks to the whole team.
