Amazing food and great atmosphere. Highly recommended. Super fresh food cooked to perfection and lovely staff. We felt like VIPs!! BEST breakfast EVER We will be back. A must try for any foodies out there
On arriving your not only greeted by attentive wonderful staff but also glorious views of the surrounding countryside. A window as you enter the premises give you a peek in to the kitchen which looked immaculate. I would certainly recommend requesting a table at the windows as the views on both sides are stunning, one side looking out over the hills and the other side looking on to the well maintained gardens. An extensive drinks menu with a few non alcoholic beers was good as I imagine like us most would require a car to get here. The menu was really varied with dishes from Africa, Mexico and Scotland. There was no starters however I'm sure a main shared between 2 would make a good starter. We opted to share the warm bread and oil and it was delicious, 3 verieties of breads paired with an oil that had hints of apricot. The mains we ordered were well presented and the lamb skewer that I had was juicy and bursting with flavour although it was a little hard to eat without making a full of myself . Staff were pleasant and regularly checked in on us. The cheesecake was lovely. On leaving passing the kitchen the chef's gave us a pleasant wave goodbye and must have spotted us trying to take a selfie so came out and offered to take a photo of us with the stunning views behind. I would thoroughly recommend Thyme and it's well worth the effort to get to if staying a little further afield.
Had an excellent brunch here. Food was lovely. Beautiful views and lots of wildlife to watch while eating as well. Would definitely recommend.
Beautiful location, calm and relaxing atmosphere. Food was good quality and staff very attentive. Able to enjoy these brows while we ate.
A fine dining experience in beautiful surroundings. Callum provided excellent attentive table service over a very relaxed and enjoyable meal. Ingedients and balance of flavours did full justice to the quality of the local produce. Faultless!
Stopped here on the way back from a weekend away. Hidden gem in beautiful surroundings. The service and breakfast was lovely and well worth the stop.
Gorgeous scenery. Beautiful decor. Tasty delicious breakfast. Friendly staff. Highly recommended this bistro.
We went for Sunday lunch and it was a great experience. The atmosphere and location are really nice and the service was exceptional - friendly and helpful with just the right amount of attention, a rare find. I had the roast lamb and my partner had the roast pork, both were excellent but a bit light on the vegetables, but all well presented and tasty.
Wonderful lunch, venison tagine was absolutely delicious, great service, beautiful surroundings and a garden with ducks, geese, chickens and garden birds to watch. If you've mobility issues contact the number at the restaurant. The staff will open a door for easier access. Thank you Thyme.Food: 5/5
Somewhat expensive menu and though specifically ordered gluten free, my meal had two items not gluten free. No substitute items were offered, but once informed, the waitress was truly sorry for the mistake and did offer a free drink. However, gluten intolerance is very variable, mine is serious enough to require hospital treatment, depending on consumption level. It's very important that when training staff, they are made aware of the subject and consequences.
