Facilities were adequate. Long PIN code to get into the toilets which wasn’t the most convenient if you left your phone with the code written down in your camper-van/tent. Found that the brochure was not welcoming at all, a lot of “do not do this or that” which was a bit off-putting. Also a sign when entering about getting kicked off this site would lead to not being allowed on other sites along the NC500 which seemed like a strange welcome sign. Had a cafe on site which looked okay but doesn’t do breakfast. Not a lot going on in Thurso. Went for food at YNOT, which was nice. If we did this trip again, we would skip Thurso.

Site is clean well run and toilets spotlessly clean. Hot water plentiful and washing facilities excellent also. Cafe on site well priced and well cooked rasty food
On a trip round the north of Scotland in our motorhome we called in to Thurso bay to enquire if we could pay to use the motorhome waste services. We were told in no uncertain terms that we couldn’t . While I appreciate that they have a right to refuse it goes against all the etiquette, and information given regarding responsible motorhome travel.
Beautiful location by the sea. There is a cafe on site, which looked good, but didn't eat there. The facilities were adequate, with a laundry.
