Awful place!nI'm ashamed to be British when realising that foreign visitors have to use this facility on our major M25 as one of the only services people have to use.nBuilding is tired old dirty looking and the experience inside the food hall is horrible as tables are left covered in other people's food debris and same on the floor. Only good thing is decent toilets and big bank of Tesla and other EV chargers.nThurrock Council...spend some money on this place for heaven's sake!
A nice little stop area for a long journey, wh smiths, burger King, Costa.nHuge car park.nAlso a lovely view of the lake while you are enjoying your refreshments.nI was lucky on my visit winning £50 on the slot machines. Not something I usually do so very happy with that!nRestrooms were very clean and look recently refurbished which is a big plus.
Stopped off here to grab a snack and leg stretch. Good range of shops including Costa, Greggs, W. H. Smiths, Burger King, Kentucky Fried Chicken.nBonus of an outdoor seated balcony area with a view across the lake.
Really lacking in options for food and drink. Disabled parking in a strange place so had to dodge people and cars driving through that area. Hard to find the way out ended up looping twice in car park following exit signs! I missed the disabled loo on the ground floor as not signposted. Went downstairs where there are only ladies and gents each with a disabled toilet inside. Not great for a mum with a disabled 17 year old son who needs pad changed! I was allowed in ladies with him but I could have been redirected to disabled toilet upstairs. Will avoid this place next time.
Ok service area if you don't stop here often, plenty of options for a quick visit. For more familiar customers you'll find parking for HGV very limited after 6pm, only 2 places for dinner which quote often the food can be cold. Temporary showers at the moment for males which are outside and when busy you can find yourself standing outside in the cold or wet waiting.
