Used the out of hours GP service having been directed there by 111. Person I saw was arrogance personified and devoid of even basic courtesy. Didn’t write my notes up properly seemingly because they weren’t listening; and was dismissed with a standard ‘have some painkillers’ response, even though I wasn’t in pain. When I explained I wouldn’t take them them because that wasn’t an appropriate remedy, I was given the reply ‘it doesn’t matter to me, I get paid anyway!’. Well good for you. I, on the other hand, won’t be entrusting my health with this hospital even if they paid me.
I spoke with a nurse called Allina and she was extremely helpful and professional. She knew her patients inside out and and was ever so pleasant. Outstanding nurse!
Just had my booster jab. I cannot fault it. I came by bus but there is free parking on site. Though they recommend pre-booking, I was able to walk right in and was immediately behind just one other person having their details taken. Masks and hand sanitiser provided if you have not brought your own. Friendly staff throughout. 15 minute post treatment room and then back out again. It helps if you can take in something with your NHS number on it and if you have the details of your previous covid jabs.
Had my first Covid jab here and the staff was just so lovely. The gentlemen who gave me the jab was so friendly and made me feel really relaxed. Can't thank him enough as I was quite nervous before my appointment.
I got an out of hours appointment last night. Easy to find.got in there spoke to ladies very helpful directed me to the lady round the corner. She was having a bit if a nightmare with her computer system bless her, but she was very welcoming and apologetic even though it wasn't her fault. Went in to see the doctor who was friendly, asked questions, examined me then gave me forms to have some tests done. Great service I would recommend this hospital xx
I got an out of hours appointment at 1.45am this morning through 111 as i was in severe shoulder pain. the doctor was very kind and reassuring and gave me an immediate dose of a stronger painkiller with a prescription for more. When i woke this morning the pain is improved and i have more movement. I cannot thank him enough. A wonderful service that i didnt knowa was available before Thank you
Came here today for my Covid vaccine. All the staff were efficient, polite, friendly and professional. Short waiting time, a clean building and plenty of free parking
Attended the Alistair Farquharson Centre for my vaccination. Lovely atmosphere, staff were very professional, informed & reassuring.
I get a tad fed up seeing this hospital, like Basildon hospital getting bad press, reviews etc. In my experience long term disability & Crohns disease among others, these places have literally saved my life and the care & professionalism has not only made my life easier but literally 5 or 6 times saved it! Must mention wheelchair service here is absolutely brilliant!
Nice and welcoming staff. The place was very well organised. Definitely recommend it to get your covid19 vaccine shot
