This pub is part of the Sizzling pubs chain. Please, in no way let that put you off. My wife and I regularly meet up with friends here. The chef is very good and you are almost guaranteed to enjoy inexpensive meals provided from a very diverse menu. Service is prompt and polite too. It is popular always a good sign!, so book at busy times to secure your table.
Highly recommend this pub Great choice of menu, something for everyone. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Food was piping hot and delicious. Generous portion size and definitely value for money. Can't wait to go back
The place looks fantastic from outside and we where excited to spend our wedding anniversary there. Service was polite. But, however we had a booking, we where waiting for 1 hour and 5 minutes for a food. The fact that we supposed to wait an hour for burger and a steak is redicuolous. Waitress even didn't apologize for a long service when he bring a food. Don't think if we fancy to come back again.
Not been here for a while not changed as far as I could see. Nice friendly staff but understaffed that's why service a bit slow Food was very enjoyable, all 5 happy people, nice seating area outside. Will definitely visit againFood: 5/5
Another fabulous family meal enjoyed by all 3 generations. The staff are always happy to help and nothing seems to to be too much trouble. We'll be back for the next family meal in the new year for sure.
Would give 5 stars on this visit but my son ordered food and it wasn't cooked right, even sent back in and still came out the same in went in. Wasn't cooked properly on the inside. Other than that the rest of the food we ordered was good.Food: 4/5
Food carvery fantastic value and well organised no rush to the counter. If one thing I could say is food could have been warmer but was still very good. Well done.Food: 5/5
Booked at table for 3.30 for Sunday lunch. When we went up to the carvery not only had they run out of turkey, they were right at the end of the last of the beef. We were literally given a couple of scraps of beef and some bits of gammon, not even a full slice of anything. The lady serving wasn't even apologetic just very matter of fact about it! We left feeling disappointed!
Booked a table over the phone and then travelled from pontypool with five of us to then sit down and after spending 15mins to decide what we all wanted went to the bar to be told most of the menu was unavailable. Why they didn't tell us on the phone was unbelievable. We then left and had a superb meal further down the road at the parc y prior which was superb
There for a catch up with friends. Food was good and the staff were excellent. Recommend for food.Food: 5/5
