Garden centre and cafe - midrange prices for items so would say two ££ out of three £££. Easy disabled access to the building and parking, also decent space within for browsing and social distancing and to get a wheelchair round, a lift available to get to the first floor where they have some additional stock to peruse. Well lit and lovely displays. Friendly for all ages with baby changing and disabled toilets as well. Good range of items; from clothes like jackets and scarfs and hats, dog and cat items, indoor and outdoor plants and gardening equipment and decor, assortment of cards, bathroom soaps, edibles such as shortbread and jams and chocolate, toys for children and quirky gift ideas Cafe is disabled access friendly and the tables are large and tall and the chairs are very comfortable, good view out the window seats with an offshoot cafe room for events or extra seating, as well as an extra setup of seating outside but it is sheltered. Tables can seat up to 6 folk. Strong lattes and decent food sizes and portions for the prices on the menu. Takeaway options available for cakes and scones etc. If its busy around lunch time the queue to be seated can be up to 10 mins, and on the rare occasion the table service up to 20 mins, but generally decent time and friendly and helpful staff both in cafe and garden centre/shop area. A pleasant outing for gift browsing and a coffee and cake with friends or breakfast/lunch.
Visited while on holiday wirh family in Scotland and have visited previously and would highly recommend. Four adults and one child had a meal and everyone said their meal was delicious. It was served hot and very well presented. We were in the garden room and it was exceptionally clean with lovely tables and chairs. You wait to be taken to be seated until a suitable table is available which means that they were spotlessly clean. The staff are very polite and courteous and the service we received was brilliant and would definitely recommend visiting. The next time I visit my sister in Scotland we will definitely visit.
Stopped in past again for a quick lunch. The restaurant was busy but we were shown to a table and given menus straight away. Orders taken very quickly too, and the food arrived promptly. Friendly service. The only gripe I have is that the menu described the scampi portion as 'generous', but that wasn't what arrived on the plate seven small pieces. I wonder if there is an element of necessary cost cutting behind this. Not a major problem, but maybe the menu could be re-worded.
Stopped for lunch on our way home. Place was very busy but got seated quite quickly. All the staff we dealt with were very welcoming and pleasant. The food was excellent. The burger first class. Highly recommend.
Good selection of plants and trees at reasonable prices. Nice place to go for a coffee or a fuller meal if thats what you're looking for, in a well set out dining area with friendly staff.Lots of parking. Definitely recommend.
It was really busy. Lots of staff but they were still clearly overworked so getting attention for anything beyond initial order was difficult. Not their fault, and not the worst thing, just make sure you have everything you need before eating. Despite being cautious of ordering it because it's so hit or miss around here, I tried the macaroni. And I'm glad I did. It was absolutely amazing. Based on that, I'd recommend this place.
Have stopped here a few times and have always been impressed but not on this occasion. Stopped for tea and a scone. After been shown to our table we waited 15mins for someone to take our order. We eventually went up to say no-one had taken our order. When it did come we got our scones but had to ask for knives as none given. I then opened my jar of jam only to discover it had already been opened and half used which is totally unacceptable. I then went to get a replacement. Was a lot of young members of staff on at the time and didn't seem to be paying attention. My husband reported to the chap at the till.
Nice place. Marked down as they don't do takeaway. Whenever we pass here, the dog is with us so can't get food which is a shame.
Lovely meal, lovely price for the 3 of us not much waiting time if any! Will be back for next birthday mine!
Lovely lunch, great service, nice shop with quality products and friendly chatty staff. Will be back soon!
