Thorpe Park Resort is an outstanding theme park, and now I understand why all my friends recommended it to me. The park features an impressive array of roller coasters, many of which are incredibly exciting. I highly recommend the Colossus roller coaster; it was both fun and thrilling, with numerous barrel rolls. The park's rides are primarily designed for teenagers and adults. Although there are a few water rides, they tend to have longer queues than other rides. I visited on a Tuesday, and most of the wait times were around 15 minutes. I highly recommend visiting Thorpe Park Resort, and I would definitely revisit.
A fantastic day out for all the family - especially the teenagers and thrill seekers. I am disabled wheelchair user, autistic, chronic fatigue etc.... We have brought our two teenagers and their friends, and we have had fun walking around enjoying the atmosphere. It's all got a bit much for me now and I'm exhausted after a couple of hours in the wheelchair. It is quite noisy and full-on. So I am writing this review whilst having a rest in their lovely quiet room for people with sensory problems who need some quiet time out to rest and recover from the noise and lights. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The park is being cleaned constantly throughout the day. The toilets that I have been in have been clean and tidy. There has been some renovation for the 2024 season so it is looking smart. Good awareness of and facilities for various disabilities. The new RAP scheme, is great, as it means that the ride access pass queues aren't too long which is the whole idea of them!. Just don't forget to pre-book your ride access pass before you come!. Definitely recommend for families.
Thorpe park is such an amazing thrilling theme park, I go every year atleast once or twice. I would recommend booking tickets in advance, also if you don’t like queuing up for long then buy fast track tickets which is will speed up your time to get on the ride. The food and drinks options are good here also, they sell alcohol too They have parking for a fee if you choose to drive here. It’s better going here without children as most rides are rather better for teenagers and adults.
Tired and a bit grubby. Given how much it costs to get in, and how much they charge for everything fish finger and chips is £11.50/ pasta & pizza is over £20pp, I think it’s fair to expect a high level of overall quality. But it all looks like it was last painted in 1999 and they are now trying to squeeze every penny from the asset before they close it down. The rides are still good but everything squeaks and creaks. I’ve given it three stars because my son 6yo still loved it. But realistically the overall ride experience is better for teenagers. But seriously Thorpe park, consider a little spruce up!
We came all the way from Czech Republic, together with my son for a day full of fun and thrilling rides. It was worthy! The park offers different rides, lots of variety of food, but mostly unhealthy and full of sugar. I would appreciate more healthy options for food, like salads, healthy bowls, etc. The park is being cleaned all the day, but some of the trash cans were overdloaded in the afternoon and nobody take a clean ever. All the stuff very friendly and helpful. We bought online tickets in advanced. Getting from London to Staines was easy! From Staines extra charge or bus ticket, that were overcrowded. Not so many buses in operations. After all it was good experience. Thorpe Park is fun place to spend full day! We would come again for sure!
Great theme park. Very easy to get around all the rides in the first or last couple of hours. The staff are mostly pleasant and friendly. Only slight downside when I visited was the Swarm only had 1 train running which led to lengthy delays 45 minute wait even after using fast track. Very handy having all the rides so close togetherVisited onWeekendWait time10–30 minReservation recommendedYes
Awesome for thrill seekers Many rides for 1.3m and 1m above. Few rides for family Beach and water splash for everyone Kids play area Picnic spots Cafeteria had different themed cafe Restaurants were themed one near rides. Each and every ride was unique with some theme and sound effects. Have extra clothes for water rides. Visit on weekdays for quick visit and to avoid queue.
It was such a pleasure to go back to this amazing place after being a season ticket holder for three consecutive years and then not visiting for about 15 years. As soon as I walked up to the gates I got a rush of adrenaline and the hairs on my arms stood up! Its even more impressive than I remember, the new rides are incredible and the queues are made bearable by the staggering amount of production at every level, we are fully immersed in the vibe of the ride. There's loads of huge props and massive sound systems giving us the full artistic picture. The music in the various areas is very well curated, I was singing along to many of the tunes, but what was most noticeable for me was I COULDN'T STOP SMILING and what was great was SO WAS EVERYONE ELSE! Just such a great vibe. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. Some actually going out of their way to help me on a couple of occasions. The security are impressively professional, absolutely on the ball but totally cool. I managed to go on the jaw droppingly awesome SWARM ride four times in a row at the end of the day, which has the most incredible disaster scenario theme and super impressive +3G I THINK loops and twists. Of course there's plenty for kids and families, but I'm 45 and I had the best time I've had in four years in there, I loved almost every minute, ...you'd have to be mad to enjoy queuing but it comes with territory. It was such fun yesterday, I'm going back today!!!
I took my niece for a day out and we had such a great visit. As an early birthday treat I splashed out on fast track thrill and coaster tickets and we are so glad that we did. The summer holidays were very busy and the lines varied from 20-125 minutes. I would highly recommend the single rider lanes for the busiest rides if you do not mind not sitting / riding together. My only complaints were the parking fee is wildly expensive £12! The ticket prices are already quite high the parking fee is pure profit. The website / app was not updated with the rides that were not open It stated Samurai was closed for maintenance but it was very much open and operational. Rush was closed for most of the day but was open on the website and the hand sanitiser stations were empty - maybe a left over feature from Covid but with so many people touching handrails and ride restraints this would be a good health and safety feature to continue. The staff we interacted with were polite and friendly, the park was clean.
Amusement park itself is a blast! Would recommend going and trying some of the roller coasters and thrill rides. It’s best for teenagers and above as younger kids only have a small selection of rides to enjoy. Food prices are extortionate as you’d imagine and they have an arcade which costs extra if you wish. The bus service is late and expensive to Staines which is unfortunate. I’d recommend going on a weekday for less queues, but as it’s popular, expect long wait times.
