A brilliant hardware store with competitive prices. The convenience of having this locally is wonderful. Helen is always willing to help and the "screw wall" is great. I highly recommend Thorntons.
Having just moved to the area it was such a pleasure to discover Thorntons a traditional, family run hardware store with old style service. Brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble and the range of goods available allied to the knowledge of the staff Helen was amazing means never having to visit a generic souless chain stores again. Marvellous news. As well as all the benefits outlined above Thorntons is also competitive with their pricing. That said, I'd pay a little extra to ensure that independent stores such as this adorn our high streets for years to come. If you don't see it, ask.
This is a great local store- they always seem to have or know what you need!! For orders placed, quick and efficient delivery service- and they keep you updated when there is a delay. Thank you Janice and Helen!
A wonderful family run DIY store, with a surprisingly large range of products and services. Staff are very helpful and seem to know their products inside out. Even the prices I find are cheaper than the larger chain alternatives.
Great range of stock for both trade and DIY needs, competitive prices, knowledgeable and helpful staff and 'just around the corner... What more can you ask... can they get it? Yes they can! Highly recommended.
