For a village chippy and you want fish and chips you can't go wrong they were excellent . Also it has info about the village to read while you wait .
Very Slow service. Fish was tough. Chips were anaemic. Worst I've had in years. EDIT: Thanks for your response. I was in Thornton Dale on holiday. I'll be avoiding your chippy in future - wish I'd read the reviews first!

Slow service for overcooked chips and tasty fish n chips. When half the meal is overdone you can't give over 3!

Failed to actually provide me with my order. After waiting outside in the cold for almost half an hour for three portions of chips, nothing fancy we gave up and went to the takeaway next door. Best thing about the meal was the refund. The portion sizes looked terrible too. Typical tourist establishment.
Excellent food, average to dear price especially if ordering fish however the food is good. Curry is to die for, gravy has a nice taste but far to watery. Price and gravy needs work hence 4 stars. I would recommend though and will return when I'm next on holiday this way
The best fish and chips I have had for years really taste. Eat it all so good would highly recommend it.
