We have visited twice, once with friends and once with family. Both visits were wonderful. Evelyn is an amazing host. The apartments have everything you need for a few days. We particularly appreciated the travel cots, high chairs, and baby gates at the stairs as we were travelling with two under two. The welcome basket was a lovely surprise upon arrival.  It's easy to get to Dundee or St Andrews.

We have just celebrated my husbands 60th Birthday at the cottages and had a fantastic weekend, the cottages are are credit to Evelyn and Ralph they are of a very high standard with great facilities very clean and fantastic views of the surrounding area.we will be defiantly going back.Rooms: 5/5

We booked most of the cottages for our wedding. It was absolutely perfect. The cottages are so well looked after, spotlessly tidy and incredibly well equipped. We enjoyed use of the BBQ hut and gardens one evening which was a great way to have everyone get together. The cottages were a real highlight of our weekend and we couldn't have asked for anything more! Evelyn was the best hostess and went above and beyond. We will be visiting again!

Second stay in the Red Squirrel, The superb  accommodation is for 2 people, lots of space, very clean and tidy, very comfortable bed. All the facilities you would wish for. It is a great place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Super welcome and all you could wish for from the host. Already booked for a return in September. Looking forward to using the new barbecue on our next stay. Thoroughly recommend.

Very nice quiet setting near Dundee. Very clean and nice outdoor space. Better outdoor furniture and a bit more lounge furniture would be great but after the year the hospitality industry has had I would not expect them to be spending money until things are more certain. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful.

Stayed here for around 10 weeks whilst working in the local area. The accommodation is absolutely spotless, decorated beautifully and the hosts are wonderful. The surroundings are also extremely scenic. Staying here was like a home away from home and I can't recommend it enough.Rooms: 5/5

We have never stayed at Sandford, but just finished watching a YouTube series on the restoration of this magnificent property. Hats off to you for loving all things antiquated and restoring it to something to behold. Hope to see it for real someday. Chris and Amanda from South Africa.

Fabulous luxury holiday house in a  wonderfully restored, luxury Arts and Crafts-style cottage in the wing of Sandford House, in the heart of Fife, close to both Dundee and St Andrews.  This stylish two-bedroom cottage is packed full of character. The really friendly and helpful owners, Evelyn and Ralph, have made a fantastic job of the Art and Crafts inspired refurbishment. The conversion boasts oak beams and posts, leaded windows and William Morris wallpaper. Stylish and upmarket interiors are complemented by the solid oak flooring and carefully selected feature pieces of furniture, a well-equipped kitchen. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend these cottages.
