I took my fiancee here for her birthday and this place is perfect for a nice romantic weekend. The staff are amazing and couldn't do enough. My partner especially liked the birthday card waiting for her. As with these places it's the small things that count. The room was as near to authentic as it possibly could be then there is a luxurious bathroom to relax in. Both a plus on my part. So if you want more than amazing staff and a beautiful location the food is another level. The food was exquisite and the waiting staff are more than happy to help. The food was as good as any I have had that includes popular Michelin starred TV chefs. You can tell the waiters have master their art in the business over a long time. So to cut a long story short if you are wanting to spoil your partner or just have a relaxing stay away I would certainly recommend this place.

Lovely hotel which is full of history. Rooms are large and clean. Staff were all really polite, helpful and attentive. The meals were great. Lots of choice at breakfast. The restaurant is also great for an evening meal. Nice grounds to walk around with a little walled garden. Hotel is close to the village. There is a longer walk which you can join straight from the hotel grounds.

I felt I was being transported back in time. Beautiful hotel and steeped in history with both Mary Tudor and Henry the eighth and Anne Boleyn staying there in the past. The hotel upgraded us so we slept in a four poster bed for the first time. Food great as was service. Fully

Had such an amazing experience at Thornbury Castle. A one-night stay, and to experience the history is awesome. I hung my cot last night in a 309-year-old wardrobe. It's just stunning. Highly recommended, with outstanding service. Breakfast was made beautifully and the buffet options we plentiful. Cannot recommend this hotel enough.

Awesome experience. Charming, and quiet with a detailed history and walking grounds. Perfectly suited for those looking to explore.
