LOVELY CAFE IN SMART SHOP. Very tasty menu full of healthy, colourful options. Also has a good range of cakes and sweet choices. The prices for the quality were spot on. The premises has a high ceiling and mezzanine floor, giving a bright, airy feel. The staff were very cheery and helpful. All in all, well worth a visit.
We had the lunch special Smoked salmon & cream cheese on a rusty roll served with salad and chips and the Tapas plate, which were both delicious. A walnut coffee cake as dessert was a great ending. The staff are very nice and friendly and the craft shop in the cafe sells some interesting gifts.
Cafe set in a gift shop. The building itself is lovely. The staff in the cafe were chatty and welcoming and the food we got was top notch. Definitely recommend and will go back.
Loved Thomas Tosh, a gem in Thornhill although it's on the pricey side Staff were absolutely lovely, helpful and welcoming. They clearly hire local youth to help out who could do with a bit more training, for example their communication skills need working on ....and one lad picked his nose before his shift started :D Anyway, that aside which didn't have an impact as it's great to see they hire local youth, they focus on quality. The tapas was delicious and so was the coffee. Definitely worth visiting. The store side of things is WONDERFUL, everything is top quality and it's worth just looking at all the nice things they have in stock. Be aware that they don't put prices on all their products...we ended up paying for a medium jar of presto for £6, it better be good!
What a great find, lovely cafe and tea room. Great food, generous portions and very tasty. The bacon was fabulous. Huge slices of cake and all served on really nice crockery. Very friendly staff. It's also a lovely shop all housed in an old church. We like it so much we went in twice in one day.
A delightful venue for coffee and a treasure trove of interesting books, objects and goodies to purchase. The staff are friendly and so welcoming, even providing a bowl of water for our old dog.Food: 5/5
A very good cafe for food and drinks and a vast selection of elaborate gift or purchase options in Thornhill. Highly recommended!Food: 5/5
Light lunch. Victoria sponge was amazing with hearty portion. Didn't particularly enjoy the coleslaw but also i didnt alert anyone to this so in fairness no chance to remedy. No mayo on my coleslaw but another diner had what i would describe as coleslaw and don't know that I truly felt I had a salad however I did enjoy the bread perhaps just feel it was a tad overpriced. However others at table enjoyed immensely. Vegetarian options: Lots of choice
Thomas Tosh has a lovely shop however if you are looking for prompt service in the cafe, go somewhere else. On a previous occasion, myself and my daughter have waited 45mins for a hot chocolate each. Today my family have waited 50mins+ for lunch which arrived undercooked and inedible. Overall, very disappointing. The staff however are obviously overstretched and trying to do the best they can. In fairness, after we complained, they compensated the price of the meals and apologised.
Amazing food, some of the best I had in Scotland. Very nice service and a cool shop inside.
