We’ve been coming here about 5 years, and have gotten to see every provider multiple times. They have all been professional and friendly. They run like a well-oiled machine. The nurses are quick and efficient, and there has never been more than a 10 minute wait for our appointment even that was very rare! Usually, we walk in the waiting room is still closed, so you wait in your car and text when you arrive, and a nurse is there to take us to the room. After they take vitals, the provider comes right in. The front office staff is on the ball. They are so caring and compassionate, and just really good at what they do. I’ve called the nursing line for medical questions and paperwork requests, and they always return my calls quickly and get me what I need. The only annoyance I’ve ever had is that one time my daughter obviously had pink eye, but they wouldn’t prescribe an antibiotic when their office was closed. We ended up going to urgent care and getting it. I can understand from a liability standpoint why they wouldn’t prescribe without a visit, but it seemed pretty cut and dry to me, so that was frustrating. But their hours are pretty comprehensive, and they even have Saturday appointments, which is nice.
I have been coming here since my daughter was born, she is now 4 and a half. I have absolutely been satisfied with all the practitioners and I adore the reception staff. I have always been treated with kindness and respect and they always get us in for same day sick appointments. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone that doesn’t want to be lost at a huge practice, they truly care about all their patients and parents! Thanks.
My son, who is over 8 yrs now, has been to this practice since birth. DR. Thomas has been his main Dr. but I'm very comfortable with him seeing anyone in the practice. Dr. Thomas is very kind, Great with kids and top notch knowledgeable! We Love her. Wouldn't go anywhere else. Diana Johnson
I don't have enough room to express how pleased we have been since switching our kiddos to this office. They are so kind, professional, and truly care about our family. Every single person we have interacted with front office, nurses, doctors have been fantastic. I truly cannot recommend this office enough to anyone who is looking for personal care for their kids. The best!
This is an FYI to anyone considering this pediatric office. The clinicians here, especially Dr. Goodsell, are wonderful. I am exclusively leaving a one-star review due to the treatment of the reception team at Poole and Thomas. The woman at the check-out counter has been blatantly rude to me numerous times. This most recent experience was that we had an overdue balance of $87 on our account. Granted, we needed to make a payment, but the treatment I received warrants no excuse. We are struggling financially and are trying to keep our heads above water as of late. This being said, I was more than willing to explain and try my best to pay the balance as soon as possible. However, when I came up to the window I was literally interrogated, loudly, in front of everyone in the waiting room. She said, with no lead up, I do not remember her name, older lady with auburn hair “June 22nd. What insurance was your son on on that date” to which I was trying to remember and paused to think and she cuts me off and goes “JUNE 22ND. Had he switched to the new insurance?” And I said “I would need to go find that out because I’m not sure which one he was on at that specific date”. She says “Well his insurance didn’t cover the appointment that day so you have a balance of $87. So are you going to get that taken care of today?” To which I replied “I’m sorry, I can’t today. I will call next week to make a payment.” She gets clearly angry and grabs my check out paper and writes at the bottom while speaking out loud “MOTHER WILL CALL THIS WEEK TO MAKE A PAYMENT” and then underlines it and looks back up at me. I stood there shocked as she showed blatant disdain for me, who had brought my son in due to a 103 fever. She then goes “Do you need to make another appointment?” And I said “No I don’t think s…” and she looks me dead in the eye and abruptly goes “Then have a good day” then winks at me as I walk away. WINKS at me. Who treats someone like that? These are difficult times financially for most people. If I need to make a payment, I need to make a payment. But there are ways to handle that without A embarrassing someone in front of an entire lobby and B demonizing someone for not being able to make a payment. For Gods sake, send it on to collections, but don’t stop treating someone like a human being because of a financial issue. That’s my rant. But I assure you, I will not be returning to this clinic.
Very, very friendly staff and the medical care is top-notch. They take the time to listen and pay attention to what is being said. I wouldn't consider taking kids anywhere else.
We love it here! Our daughters saw Dr.Mack before he retired, and we have continued to receive excellent care since. They can always get us in quickly when the kiddos are sick. We have seen Dr.Goodsell, Dr.Thomas, and Dr.Crowley. They are all great but want to give special recognition to Dr.Goodsell. He is outstanding and has great bedside manner with our girls. We highly recommend them!
Dr. Goodsell is the absolute best & the receptionist staff is lovely as well Goodsell is the 2nd doctor we saw at this office when my daughter was 1 week old and he’s the only doctor my 19 month old daughter and 5 month old son have seen since!
Dr. Goodsell is an amazing pediatrician. He is incredibly intelligent and has time and time again improved the health of our three children. He has a true gift in caring for his patients. As a mother, I genuinely feel that he cares about my three children and their health just as much as I do. I have never felt rushed or that I am inconveniencing him in any way with my questions. He continues to go the extra mile. He has called to check in on my kids even when the office is closed. He carefully listens to our concerns for our children and will act upon those to reassure myself and my husband. We have recently considered moving our children’s care due to living in another county. Because we genuinely feel that he cares not only about our children’s well being but ours as parents as well we will make the extra effort to continue to bring our kids to Poole and Thomas. He is a blessing to the families he cares for. We have seen all the pediatricians at Poole and Thomas and have been happy with each experience. I highly recommend Poole and Thomas Pediatrics.
Mack and Poole Pediatrics are fantastic. I truly wish all doctors offices ran as smoothly and efficiently as this office. We typically see Dr. Mack and Dr. Crowley but we have interacted with all of them and I've never had a poor experience. Dr. Crowley takes the time to listen to all our concerns and asks if we have any questions. On top of that, Dr. Crowley always makes sure my kids feel at ease and talks to them too. She's given my daughters stuffed animals check ups too and my daughter loves her! They don't overly prescribe medicine which important to me but also advised when tubes were needed with my kids. When my son was behind in speech at 15 months Dr. Mack was great. He reassured us he would probably catch up but said that if we wanted to get a second option and evaluation from first steps too, he'd be happy to do a referral as well. The nurses are also thorough and patient and the front office staff is warm and always remembers my kids and asks them questions. We've had other experiences with other offices in the area due to being foster parents and I wish I could say they all ran as smoothly as this office. We've never had to wait more than 5 minutes to get back and we can always get in same day for sick visits. Truly they are the best.
