Excellent customer service. Friendly staff. Staff have a good knowledge of destination areas and make recommendations accordingly. Really relaxed atmosphere, which puts the customer at ease. Compared to other nearby travel agents the customer service wins hands down. Personally, I would rather pay a (tiny) bit more and buy from someone who inspires me, rather than hand my hard earned money over to someone who doesn't seem to give a rat's chuff. Thomas Cook staff inspire me every time. The negative is that opening at 10am isn't great. I would expect the shop to be open at 9am like most mainstream businesses. There's probably an evidenced business reason for this, but from a customer perspective it isn't best ever. That said ... you can't please all of the people all of the time. Also ... if you book in store (the best way to get answers, that personal touch and any discounts that you can't always get on the web) then you can't pay the balance of your holiday online, which is a bit frustrating. The Thomas Cook standards and service, however, are generally very high, so I can't really complain about such little niggles. It is just 9:30 am and I have been wanting to pay the balance of my holiday off since about 8:30am so I can crack on with the rest of my day. I've now got to twiddle my stumpy little thumbs until 10am. Ah well .... another coffee. Life's just too hard. Darren Whitehead.
