A Warm welcome and Gizzy and Alistair made us feel as if we were in our own house,property was immaculate and the evening was really quiet. The breakfast was excellent and we enjoyed everything about our stay.We were lucky enough to find the best b&b in croyde.Fantastic hosts.Would stay again without a doubt. And would recommend, stay here before anywhere else,you won't be disappointed.
We stay at this location once a year for surfing. We find the accommodation clean tidy and the host very welcoming. Her breakfasts are great, yes, she will cook you a full English within the price you pay. Its just like a B & B should be. She and her husband are a fountain of knowledge when it comes to surfing and surf reports etc. We have been coming here for the last 4 years and will continue to keep coming as its great value for money and we find it a relaxing get away.
Gizzy is what makes this place great and is why people keep coming back. I've returned 8 times in 2 years for short surfing breaks. Great clean, tidy rooms, lovely breakfast and friendly welcoming atmosphere accommodating singles and families as well as couples and groups. Such good value for money.
Fabulous stay with the very hospitable Gizzy! The location is perfect, the beds extremely comfy, and a lovely cooked breakfast in the morning, best home grown tomatoes we've ever tasted. If this is your price range, this is the best B&B for you. We will be back for sure :Rooms: 4/5
Lovely house in a quiet setting, but easy walking distance to Croyde. The house is kept spotless by the charming owner Gizzy, who seems to have boundless energy and the ability to exist on NO sleep ! I cannot recommend this place highly enough :-
Warm welcome and nice breakfast. Clean and well organised B&B. I enjoyed staying there. The lady of house is charming and helpful. She gave me lots of tips where to go and where to buy the things I needed to buy. She was very helpful.
I accidentally booked a holiday at this location in error, and literally within 5 minutes had informed the hosts. She has quoted T&C's at me so as not to refund me. She is making money out of people's misfortunes, despite no doubt having made a stack by staycationers. This proprietor is morally bankrupt.
Gizzy is a great host, was very accommodating at the last minute when I was arriving late on a busy bank holiday. A lovely place and a good cooked breakfast!
Recently returned from a visit to Croyde Bay. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Thistledoo BnB. Gizzy was so lovely, giving me a warm and friendly welcome. I had a ground floor room that was spotless with a very comfy bed. Gizzy cooks your breakfast in front of you giving you surf and weather Info. The Bnb is a great location to walk to the shops, pubs and beach. I visited on my own and felt very at home. Would definitely recommend and will be back..... Vicki
You need to stay here if you plan to come to Devon! Gizzy and her husband are absolute gems, the location is fantastic and most of all, you won't find a more chill, friendly vibe!Rooms: 5/5
