Family visit. We'll worth a visit. The different levels offer new experiences and a history of Birmingham and the Black Country manufacturing history. Plenty of interaction for the children. We payed the extra for a visit to the planetarium, this was enjoyed by us all.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
It was a real gem, I could easily spend a whole day. We were visiting Birmingham city centre for a day. Till we arrived, I didn’t really know what to expect. It was fantastic! The outside play area was a real fun; so unique, packed with thought provoking interactive playing tools. I also found all the display of real models of steam engines, spitfires, parts of factory machines etc. very interesting. Extra tickets for planetarium experience was worthwhile too. We’ll definitely come again when we next visit Birmingham.
We visited with our children and found the place to be exceptionally clean with friendly staff. It is an ideal location for both young and adult visitors. We spent almost 2 to 3 hours exploring, with plenty to see and read about. Additionally, the cafeteria offers reasonably priced options. I highly recommend this place to everyone
Visited a couple of times already. Lovely sensory garden. Everything is interesting and the Engine Trail and Transport Trail kept the little one engaged. We will definitely visit again.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot sure

What a brilliant place!! By far the most interactive museum I have ever encountered, and very captivating for children. I feel like this is more than a science museum-we didn't expect to find such a wonderful collection of taxidermy, and a selection of arcade games from the 80's. The 'science garden' was the winner with our little scientist and he happily would've stayed outside for hours playing with all of the different experiments and trying all of the different mechanisms. He also favoured the robot on Level 3 which he enjoyed programming. There is so much to see and do here and we spent 4 hours, only leaving because I had a migraine. We certainly could've stayed longer. Park in the Millennium Point multistorey nearby blue badge parking is free of charge. Accessible toilets were spacious and clean. Coffee shop could've been better, with no oat milk or coffee syrup, but you can't have it all.
Amazing Experience at ThinkTank Museum, Birmingham We recently visited the ThinkTank Museum in Birmingham with our two kids ages 10 and 16 and had an absolutely fantastic time. The museum is clean, modern, and incredibly well-maintained. It offers a wide range of fascinating exhibits that kept both of our children engaged and entertained. One of the highlights was the variety of hands-on experiments and interactive displays that really brought the exhibits to life. The museum does a great job of making learning fun and accessible for all ages, from younger children to teenagers. Both of our kids left feeling inspired and eager to learn more. Overall, we highly recommend the ThinkTank Museum for families, educators, or anyone with a curiosity about science and technology. It’s definitely worth a visit!
Lovely day out, the place goes up and up. We ended up spending at least 5 hours with different things. The imaginary play and the science garden are great for children under 5. We didn't see the planetarium show as it's a sneaky extra cost when you get there. The place is also very big so there was no need to see it. The place is starting to show wear and tear after years of use and some of the attractions weren't on or broken. I don't think it took away from the experience too much though. No queue midweek in the holidays at 1200. It did start to get busier later but was generally quiet throughout.
My kids loved this museum, especially the outdoor garden. It was educational as they had to figure out the question in activities and write the answers down, and then stamp the right card for the right answer. Would highly recommend this place for children.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
Considering the price we were left wanting more and disappointed! Why is there so many displays and equipment broken? Aren't these checked daily and repaired? 2 toilets flooding and staff weren't bothered. Come on, we've been to so many better museums. Lots of bits are not working in the park. We arrived at 10.30 and left at 3.30 pm. My son is 6 years old and enjoyed the park and planetarium, but for the cost, this wasn't worth it. Cafe was super busy, expensive, and slow. Highly recommend bringing your own food. Planetarium was sold out and resulted in single seats only being available if your last in and kids expected to sit alone. Make sure you arrive early.
