Really well kept course. Greens are very good and fairways in great condition. Roughs are fair, not let to grow too long. Not that long a course but do not let that put you off, the tight fairways and hills make it very challenging every shot takes planning. Club house is small but very welcoming. Staff throughout are very friendly and warming to new comers as well as members. Definitely will be playing here again.

Just been to Theydon Bois bowls club lunch food was good but could have been hot instead of luke warm although would  be happy to come back again

Lovely old style golf club. Very impressed

Great testing golf course, a par 69 so not massively long. In fantastic condition, probably the best it's ever been having played it for many years on and off. Restaurant serving very good food for before or after you play. Pro shop well stocked and lessons readily available from a good pro.

The Pro shop are helpful and friendly. There were golfers around having  drinks outside the restaurant. They have an 8 minute gap between play. I have been playing here for the past 5 weeks and I have got to enjoy the challenge that Theydon golf course holds.

This is a hidden gem of a course/club. Whilst it isn't that far from London it feels like it could be well outside the Home Counties. The clubhouse is small but homely and the welcome enticing. The course isn't very long c5500 off the tips but this course confirms that length doesn't necessarily correlate with difficulty as this is a tactical gem. It is an old course and the tight fairways hewn from Epping Forest and small greens will keep all standards of golfer  honest. I would very much recommend it for a visit.

Have wanted to play here for a long time, but could  only play 6 holes. Hard to give a better review when the 6 holes I have just played were like a swamp. I get that clubs need to carry on trading in bad weather, but there should be a limit. They are in danger of damaging this when the better weather arrives as the fairways were so churned over. This is the first time I have given up on a round of golf but it was impossible to continue. Final straw was almost losing a ball in the fairway that plugged so deep it nearly disappeared. Should really be avoided when there has been wet weather. Probably the heaviest ground I've tried to play on and there have been a few! Go in the summer is my advice. That's what I'm going to do.

Becoming very well looked after course. Leave the driver in the car.

Just been to this Golf Club for a reception following our GODSON'S Christening. We received a very warm welcome from the staff  and members various. The catering was excellent and plentiful and everyone was very complimentary. Having drinks on the terrace allowed us to enjoy the wonderful views over the stunning landscape.
