Love going here with the dog for long uninterrupted walks. Miles and miles good walks. Easy to navigate. Beautiful scenery. Lots of easy access. Quiet and peaceful. Perfect for sunny winters day or summer picnic.
We had visited Thetford Forest for first time this year late October... Without knowing the place we had enjoyed about 4 hours walk through forest... Paths are ar marked ... Nice easy walks, excellent air... The smell of the forest was incredible... A place to return and explore...
We absolutely love it here. Beautiful scenery, super fresh air, love walks, great places to bring your mountain bikes, play stuff for the kids, you can book BBQ cannot being your own areas, and a cafe on site. Toilet are ok-ish. Parking costs are very reasonable considering what it's paying towards.
Absolutely stunning! We visited Thetford Forest as a stop over for half way to Cromer Beach. It was stunning there was beautiful forestry, ducks, a lake, a cafe and a botanical garden! Well worth the visit.
Lovely forest, if you like fighter jets it is good, Lakenheath RAF base is near and planes are going over ofter. Great forest!
One of my favourite wild areas, and second-favourite mushroom forest after Windsor Great Park. Beautiful, extensive woodland with neolithic tumuli, the beautiful village Santon Downham, and fantastic birdwatching and mushroom opportunities. I counted 126 penny buns in this forest in 2011 during a single trip, whilst this forest is my go-to area for getting spectacular views of rare birds such as goshawks and lesser spotted woodpeckers. The Mandarin pairs that live in the forest are particularly eye-catching. Weeting Heath on the edge of the forest is also great
Nice place to walk in nature. But while returning, you have to walk alongside road with speeding cars throwing dirt on you. This will fizzle your experience. Better avoid that return path.
Lovely place for a walk with family peace and quiet some wildlife interesting fungi and perfect for picnic
We walked from Santon to Brandon along Little Ouse River path and back through woodlands. Beautiful 6 mile walk
A cold crisp day but still an amazing walk just had to wrap up warm lol
