Theobalds Grove station was my finish line today in a day when I cycled the 50 miles from Bedford at casual pace. No record for speed but as you can see my journey today from the river Ouse all the way the Hertfordshire there was fantastic opportunity for the camera,nnDo you recognise any of the town namesnor pubs.nI recommend planning a safe route away from tight country roads if you do anything similar.nnPeter
Theobalds Grove Station is on the London Overground line which goes towards Liverpool Street and Cheshunt. The station entrance is small and the ticket hall area is a average wide size. There is no disabled access to the platforms only a long flight of staircases when reaching the platform its was clean and a few seats available. The station was clean and there was a staff member around.
No lift at all for buggy and wheelchair I called the info and they said 2 hours
Interchange for buses have to improve for this station as there aren’t any TfL buses that go past this station even though it is a London Overground Station, which seems ridiculous. Also, Arriva Herts & Essex 251 & 310 and Metroline Country Routes 242 aren’t suitable as you can’t use Oyster on any of these buses, also there are no evening services on the 242 & 251 for these bus services and the 310 only comes every 1 hour after 19:30 19:45, 20:33, 21:33, 22:33. Plus, on Sundays the 310 runs hourly until 20:50 and the 242 runs every 2 hours until 19:00, that’s insane as people have basically no interchange at all on Sundays for this station. A lot of people are starting to travel meaning whoever is responsible has to fix this.
Three staff would rather talk than refund and swap a single ticket to a return even though I had brought it from them and hadn't even used it.
