Lovely little bistro-style restaurant serving delicious sourdough pizzas! Looks unassuming from the front but there is a courtyard and an upstairs too. Staff very friendly and helpful. A little quiet, relaxed gem on a busy street. Basque cheesecake amazing!Recommended dishesSourdough
Lovely staff and delicious pastries - I had the custard and chocolate croissant and it was fantastic. The wines we had later were also delicious and the staff's advice was very helpful. Came back later and had the pizzas and they are likewise delicious - I particularly recommend the nduja. In addition, the sourdough loaves are great, with a lovely fennel flavour and good texture. They are now taking over our bread stash.
HIDDEN GEM! Such a lovely place with amazing staff. I loved my pastries and Iced coffee. I will definitely be coming back for more. Food: 5/5
Lovely and calm café in the mornings with delicious pastries and good coffee. They also have a lunch menu, with nibbles and sandwiches, and a dinner menu of small plates and pizzas, with an extensive list of great wines. All their food is great and I would highly recommend the 'nduja pizza and the chocolate and amaretto tiffin. As well as any of their pastries. They also sell sourdough bread, and we're particularly fond of the seeded one. I very much recommend it, it's about 5 minutes from the shambles and definitely worth stopping by.

After seeing the article on The York Press website about the opening offer of a hot drink and pastry for £4.50 I was curious to try it out. The homemade pastries were absolutely delicious and the coffee was excellent! Nice friendly staff and a relaxing atmosphere, it definitely felt like the 'right' place to be on a cold, damp Saturday lunchtime.
Run, don't walk! If you love delicious pastries and cozy atmosphere, this is the place. The staff are lovely, coffee is great and the baked goods are fantastic.
