We had an amazing stay at the Woolpack inn former pub now converted accommodation. The house is perfect for socialising and getting around York. Just a short walk into town to the shops. If you want to eat out there is an Indian, Chinese, Italian and pubs within seconds from your door. The host has really thought about what you need to have a great stay and communication was excellent. We loved the Autumn theme to welcome us and the food and drink treats. We have stayed in York many times and this is the best place yet.
My friends and I had a fantastic weekend at the Woolpack. We loved the big communal area complete with bar/funky kitchen. It had everything you could possibly need for a group get together. The bedrooms were comfortable and spacious. The whole house was clean and nicely decorated. The location is perfect for exploring York. Su could not have been more helpful and welcoming in all her communication with my friend who was coordinating the visit. Thank you Su!
5/5 Formerly a pub, but now a fantastic short term rental completely done out for large groups - perfect for work events, family events, meet ups with friends, and everything in-between. Perfect location, amazing hosts. Will stay again and recommend to others!
Ignore old reviews as this is a pub no longer! The Woolpack has been converted into fabulous group accommodation. Really stylish decor and all the facilities you would need. Su was fantastic from the first email I sent and throughout our stay. The location is brilliant and it's very quiet even though it's so central. It was a fantastic base for our 20 year uni reunion and Su even left us some chocolate and alcohol to enjoy - really great host. Would definitely recommend staying here and look at reviews on other sites that are just based on the old pub now being exclusive accommodation - the google reviews are largely from its days as a pub!
Lovely Airbnb in central York with a great location. It used to be a pub, but now converted into a stylish airbnb that is perfect for large groups! We had a great time staying here!
Such a fun place to stay. Formerly a boozer, now a holiday pad for groups/families of up to 12. Right by the city walls not far from Fulford or Heslington/York university campus. Coop and Waitrose a short stroll away. Smart rooms, some en suite. Cosy beds. Plenty of eating, cooking, sofa space for everyone and a cool well equipped kitchen in the bar area. Had the best weekend with friends with this as a base and a pub, a bar not too noisy, Indian, Chinese and Italian on the same street too although we walked into the city centre for drinks/food. Got some Yorkie bars too. Thanks Su!!
Great place lovely and clean with all facilities and close to town
Lovely relaxed real ale pub across from the York Barbican. Very nice ales and a great stop before shows start.
Great little bar that has had a recent revamp. If you like your ales, they have a good selection and good turnover, not often do you see the same ale.
Really good local boozer, l went last Saturday on my own and the music and locals were friendly. Beer decent and well priced. Recommended
