Stop! The building looks unimpressive BUT it's lovely inside and the food superb. Wonderfully set in the Ochils it has a caravan park next door. Soup, salad, pie ...all great.

Nice indoor renovated area, but food not nice as much as decoration. half chicken was very dry and nit tasty.

Came here tonight for a meal with friends for a birthday night and the food was amazing. Aside from the menu items being great they also had a specials board which we had a few things from. Staff were attentive and really friendly as well. Thoroughly recommend

Came for a family meal with 8 of us and we were very well looked after again. The staff are always super friendly and attentive, the food is always spot on and very tasty and we really enjoy this restaurant. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

3 stars were purely for the lovely waitress who served us. I felt it was overpriced for the food I've definitely had better for less.  There were a few gluten free options which I need because I have ceoliac disease and I would like to know their food prep process because I was quite ill after it..the slightest cross contamination will do that even as much as a crumb. Drink choices were so limited . Booked a table in advance and when we finished our meal we were approached to say we had 15 minutes left because they needed the table  we may visit the area again but I wouldn't come back to this restaurant.  I hate leaving poor reviews but it sadly fits with our experience.

We booked a table at The Woodsman for our first meal out after lockdown during the Eat Out to Help Out campaign. The staff were friendly and explained all the rules in place. Tables were well spaced out within the restaurant. We had the mozzarella sticks and haggis to start, steak and veggie burger for main and waffles and cheesecake for desert. The portions were large and the food tasted great!

This is the first time I have eaten at this restaurant. I am not local to Scotland and was visiting a friend. The restaurant itself was lovely. Some restaurants try and cram as many tables as they can in an area but this was nicely spaced out. Felt relaxed as we ate. The food was amazing. Best food I have tasted for a while. The staff were polite and friendly and started a conversation with us. Definitely recommend if you are in the area!  Edit... 25th August 2019. I have now been here twice. Second time round was just as pleasant as the first. They had a new young lad working there. Didnt catch his name but he had ginger hair. He was very helpful and polite with us. I was being fussy and didnt want my steak to arrive on a cast iron skillet and he checked with the kitchen for me to see if it was fine to have it on a normal plate it was. The steak was beautiful. Wouldnt say it was worth £20 but I enjoyed it.

Disappointed. Saturday evening. Food okay. We were midway through our meal by 9pm. However, this is the third time when I have been there that the coffee machine has been cleaned by the staff before diners have finished eating and so it has not been possible to get any tea or coffee. It seems like the staff just want to finish up for the evening as quickly as they can.
