Fabulous traditional pub with proper real ale
One of the best pubs on the island of you like them old school. Back area has now been done up smartly with a TV and smoking area
Great friendly pub with good staff would recommend for tt goers who don't want to be queuing down the front for hours
Recently renovated and not bad compared to usual H&B attempts. Only one guest ale on show & staffing levels low meaning a wait to get served. Always been a good pub so hopefully this isn't the start of a decline.
Great pub, visited TT week and very relaxed in comparison to some other places.
Good beer, guest ales usually on tap. Fun quiz on a Sunday night 8.30pm prompt start. Popular pub, but "gastropub"?....... I don't think so! I may be wrong but I'm not aware of them serving food at any time.
Do not be put off by the austere looking exterior of this excellent Heron & Brearley pub. Within lie four separate rooms on different floors,with 3 bar areas. A good five superbly kept real ales are usually on offer,several from the Okells stable. The pub is not the easiest to find,but is less than half a mile from Douglas promenade .Current landlord is a great supporter & stockist of malt whisky.
Lovely pub, great staff and atmosphere. First time in and will definitely be back.
Really friendly lot. A couple of pints turned into more than I intended,banter was good. Had to laugh at some of the older customers trying out their new smartphone taking selfies and putting them on FB
