A brilliant and gorgeous little venue. Away from the busy streets of Brixton. An absolute live music wonderland that's keeping the scene thriving and has been for years. Definitely a steppingstone stone for up and coming bands/musicians. Plus they have a gorgeous dog on the roof that'll play fetch with you !
Gigs here are consistently good but the space is cramped and gets hot really easily. I don't understand why this is the go-to venue for up and coming artists when it's just a really poorly designed space. It's not like it's the only independent venue around. Given that the staff are so flippant and the vibe is so cliquey, I'm not sure I'd come again.
Great music venue - a little of the beaten track - but well worth the effort. Frequently host act about to break into the big time or looking to try out new music.
It seems like a famous venue of London but I don't know much about it. I went first time this Friday ans really liked the place and the bands I saw. The night was only 5pounds and I discovered 3 great bands! There is a garden for summer time, but also for not so cold spring night :. They seem to have a good program, I'll probably go back!

Little music venue .. pub The guy behind the bar with long hair was a bit of a miserable git But the lady behind the bar was friendly and made you feel welcome . Great location
Great venue for local, live music and one of those places where you feel immediately comfortable as it's such a relaxed atmosphere. Definitely suggest checking it out.
The Windmill is truly an uncompromising music venue. Every time you go in you'll discover a new and brilliant band in amongst... Others. It's not plush. It's not posh. It's gritty, real and obviously head over heels in love with music. Though they brew their own beer, you won't come here for a great pint. You'll come here for the music. Nice outside area too and all kinds of mini festivals. The Windmill is an institution. Long may it last.
