I went here on Friday 21st June with my family for an evening meal and what an amazing place. Friendly, welcoming and the food was so tasty and well presented. Our waitress was Amy and she was attentive, friendly and knew every ice cream and sorbet they do! So a great find. Thank you for a perfect evening. There is a beer garden at the rear and 2 lots of parking.
Very attractive, quaint, traditional Kentish pub. Good selection of beers and an appetising menu. Great for lunch, plenty of parking behind the pub. Service was excellent and the server checked in with us several times without being intrusive. We had a selection of light bites to share, for lunch and they were absolutely fine. Scotch egg is a big favourite :nWill go back one evening for a full meal.
We are at Windmill on Sunday for my daughter’s birthday. We always have a good meal here and are welcomed but the staff were incredible last night and went above and beyond to make it a special occasion for my daughter. Not all venues do this or certainly even remember. Food, drinks, staff were excellent and I can’t recommend enough! And my Olive trail is now complete - thank you!!
We went here on recommendation by the host where we stayed. We had read some recent negative reviews and was weary! However, we have just been and had the most positive experience. We hadn’t booked but they found us a spot within 10 mins - we waited in the lovely outside area by choice and it was lovely! We was a little hesitant as not cheap and concerned about the reviews! We both chose the roast and wow! The best roast we have ever eaten! The balance of flavours and everything was cooked to perfection! I would definitely return! Service was fantastic!
We went here for breakfast and it was one of the worst breakfasts I’ve had at one of the highest costs.nnThe bacon was American streaky style and it was so overcooked that it resembled crackling it tasted like ash/dust, they forgot my beans, gave me mushroom which I did ask not to have, the toast tasted stale and the black pudding was funky. The eggs and sausage did taste good though but all in all it was a very disappointing breakfast trying to be posh, but tasting awful, and not resembling a Full English at all.nnThe service was slow and inattentive, despite not being busy. We left over half of the breakfast and despite this, the waitress didn’t even ask if the food was ok, but she did add 10% service charge on for the privilege of the poor meal, which was advertised but not deserved in my opinion.nnHonestly, you’re best off just going to a supermarket cafe instead as it tastes better than the breakfast served here. I won’t be going back.
