I dont think it's a place that I loved . It was educational a reminder of past history which was sad and how times have not changed that much.. It made you stop & think
The civic pride of the place is enhanced by this famous guy. A nice museum in a great city. The historic Quarter is a testament to the council and the care it has taken in preserving the culture.
Like much to be found, this museum is a real gem. Family oriented and entry free.

A must visit place, full of interesting and sad stories of the slave trade. Much of what you see there is not taught in schools.
Very informative with lots to see on the history and eventual abolition of slavery. Good section on modern day slavery too.
