Popped into this pub for a quick bite to eat on my own. Unfortunately they had no pies which is what I first wanted but they had a Tuesday burger lunch deal which the lady behind the bar recommended. The portion of chips were quite small but other than that, everything was freshly made and was great. Can't fault the value at £6.99 for burger, chips and a soft drink!
Nice pub, very polite staff. Chocolate cake with Belgian chocolate so so.
Very friendly, busy and welcoming pub, came here with a few friends today after walking my dog and it was lovely to see how welcomed not only we were but our dog. They even have dog biscuits. We had the 5 starters and the food was delicious. Will definitely be making this our regular!
Great pub, cheap prices for lunch, delicious food! Staff were great and very attentive
Really enjoy the overall atmosphere in this pub. Staff are really lovely and friendly. Have eaten here on a few occasions and have never been disappointed.
Very disappointed with the food here. Came for lunch and was very close to sending the food back, however the waitress was no where to be seen and we had already paid before hand. I have to be honest and say the food was of less quality than a Wetherspoons and did not match the description or images on the menu. The menu looks good and is extensive but it is deceiving as it’s completely different to what is put in front of you. Small portion sizes and our burger looked greyish with little salad that looked old. The nachos was also a small handful of Doritos with salsa just dolloped on I wouldn’t even pay £1 for it. No cheese or other sauces as described in the menu. The mac and cheese tasted like it was out of a microwaveable container. Service was also not up to par as the waitress didn’t even know what each dish was called. Overall very disappointing and I would advise people to avoid if looking for somewhere to eat.
Popped in the for quick pint with the Mrs while walking the dog. Had to wait 10 minutes while the "bar staff" played around with the more important job of putting up the Xmas decorations! "obviously customer service comes first" ?
Ordered gammon steaks. Had no peas, then told had no eggs, then no pineapple, then no corn on the cob. Offered beans or mushrooms but turned out they didn't have those either. Basically there were NO vegetables, or fruit or eggs. Poor barman had to come back to apologise each time. Suggest someone makes a list of what is and isn't available. We drink here regularly, perhaps never again. Staff very pleasant though!
Had a lovely Christmas lunch here with my mum and Nan. Nicky and Tom looked after us very well and the Christmas pudding was delicious. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon
Been meaning to change my 5 stars to 1 star from my last vist in may 2022 as i normaly come here in my lunch brake to meet my family. I Having been using this pub for sometime with no trouble until i came here for lunch and got serviced the worst food possible There no one else in the pub and i had to end up taking my food back to work as it took well over 45 mins for the food to come out god only know why it took so long. when there was only 4 meals ordered for lunch they had to put it in containers to go. when i got back to work and i looked the food it was raw and undercooked food i ordered the southern chicken combo. it all eneed up in the bin.
