Very busy restaurant. We ordered fish and chips and mussels. Fish and chips were delicious and really big portion. My friend said mussels were not that good. There was white goo in few of them honestly made me gag even looking at it. Staff very friendly, they checked on us couple of times I was very pleased. Great place for family celebrations or just quick lunch.
Glorious food visiting The White House quite regularly and I am never disappointed. Love their seafood chowder, fish & chips served with delicious tartar sauce and green peas.
Have been going here for a long time. My husband loves their nachos and fish and chips for me. Was there today late afternoon, fish portion was miserable. Owner said no one else today complained. Not the customer services you want when paying top dollar for pub grub. The average around the area is as good but not so pricey. Was dropped down another small portion of fish after chats with the owner. Such a pity as really nice pub but in my opinion not as good value as it used to be.
Food is over priced. The staff and service was good. The atmosphere was very loud.
The restaurant is amazing. I highly recommend the suggestion of the day, especially if it is fish. The staff is great and friendly. I haven't tried much the pub, but the restaurant is my favourite in the area.
Had another lovely meal at the White House today. Ray was so accommodating ensuring we had a low table as my mam is on crutches. I had the Vegetarian Tagine with flat bread and omg it was AMAZING, I would of been happy with just the bread it was so delicious! Mam had the pan fried hake special and despite being a very generous portion ate every single bit. As always the wait staff were amazing also. Highly recommend
Went to meet some friends for a quiet couple of beers. What a night! The craic was mighty, the slagging fierce and the beer reasonable. Met some real diamond characters too. A real night to remember.Food: 4/5
A hidden gem. Had a funeral party of 37 people here recently. Lovely cosy atmosphere. Excellent table service, beautiful food. Ray and Mary, owners and staff all brilliant and so professional.
We were a family elders group. It serves three varieties of Stout Beers. The place puts up a variety of games on TV screens. I enjoyed the cosy environment.
Menu was very good and ambience perfect this time of year. Staff very attentive and service was good. Turkey and Ham special today was very tasty. Prawn linguine was also a special and was a good choice. The kids seemed to like their chicken and chips. Just the cranberry sauce for the Ham and Turkey was quite sour which was a shame. Desserts for kids were fine. A good selection of wines at this venue. Two things to note. 1. Service is good but they never took away empty glasses when getting new drinks, despite piling them together for their convenience we had small kids at the table and it was difficult to move away from the table ourselves. I noted this on other tables so it wasn't just us. 2. It is a little pricey but the food is good and the venue is comfortable. Overall, I'd go back.
