Perfect location, lovely decor and great food! We came here a couple of times now for breakfast and lunch, catching the farmers market. It's a fabulous short walk, as someone new to the area its really handy and a new favourite. We used the qr code on the menu to order our own food at the table, which was really easy to do and the food came out really quickly! The portion sizes were great and it was fresh, hot and very tasty. Once inside it certainly hits you with the size of the place you cant tell from outside. There are tables outside for the nicer weather and plenty around the inside with its bar, booths and other tables. Amazing dinner and breakfast options to choose from covering all the classics and a few twists on them for a great price especially with the drinks included! The only criticism is the toilets were a bit hidden on the first find!! They were lovely and very clean though.
In the beginning it all started off with the question of to spoon or not to spoon. Then we decided to go to spoons. We found excellent parking for my massive spaceship and then once in the establishment my friends thought it funny to shove my head deep inside the mud barrels outside. After that I attempted to light my cigarette and ended up setting my leg alight. I was then forcibly removed from the establishment after my encounter Bob Dillon who turned out to be a massive advocate for spoons. All in all would recommend.
My son and I enjoyed 2 meals in here during 2 visits last week so I am fair with my reviews. But when we visited on Sunday for breakfast, they had no eggs, they would not substitute this for something my son actually likes and he is disabled with limited preferences. The food was less than warm at best and appeared to have been left standing. Even speaking to the manager failed. Shame after two good visits
The pub was very busy but unused tables were clean and ready to use. Unfortunately both hot drink machines were down and when I stopped a guy to notify him, as I needed a drink, the problem was rectified quickly. While I was stood by the machines a lady called Sasha asked if all was OK and did I need any help, excellent service from her.
Maybe 4.5 on this occasion. Had a nice curry which was my second choice as my first choice was out of stock. Upgraded to garlic naan which the butter wasn’t melted enough and naan slightly cool as was the rice, maybe a result of being dished up on a cold plate. The curry in the bowl was very hot. My wife said her baked potato with roasted vegetables was very nice. All washed down with a refillable tasty coffee Quick service Heads up…. Hot drinks now £1.25 still more than half the price for a nice coffee, Lavaza one of my favourites, Great value when you get a free refill as well
We ended up eating here 3 times over 2 days for lunch and dinner while visiting family in the area. We all enjoyed our meals, service was always quick, food was great and all stakes where cooked perfectly Staff where always welcoming and polite. All in all a great place to go in Brigg
Visited on a Saturday in a group of 4. Ordered meals and drinks via the app and service was quick. I would have scored the visit 4 stars except for the incredibly small portion of 5-bean chilli served with the jacket potato. The kitchen seemed to take the 5-bean part too literally as the whole portion could fit on a fork. Raised the issue with staff who took it back to the kitchen only to return and inform us that the kitchen insisted this was the correct portion size. Another member of staff explained this was due to an area manager telling them they had been over-portioning - it seems now they've gone completely the other way. Everyone else's food was good and the staff were polite and as helpful as they could be but this portioning issue overshadowed the whole visit as my mother basically had to eat a dry jacket potato. Won't be back.
Food average at best was barely hot. The member of bar staff who served us looked like she didn’t want to be there and barely muttered a word was very ignorent. No one come to check if food was ok which is basics in any food place really and this was not on a very busy period neither so wasn’t rushed off there feet
Nice place, food could be better but it's good enough for a cheap meal. I do find it frustrating tho that they won't allow my year 9 son and his mate to have a meal togther cause they're not 16. They just wanted to grab scampi and chips before a school event but were not allowed in!
Got there at 4.30pm today, ordered Ham egg and chips. it was ready in about 15 mins. BUT I COULDN'T BELIEVE IT HAD ABOUT 80% RE-FRIED CHIPS AND 20% FRESH CHIPS. THE RE-FRIES ONLY HAD A LITTLE POTATO IN. I took them to the grill where 4 ladies were working wouldn't say they were chef's and asked them if they would like to eat 1 of my chips and not one of them took me up on my offer. I asked the waiter if I could have a refund only for the chips and he said the manager said no. WHAT A POOR COMPANY THIS MUST BE. WE WON'T BE BACK AS POOR MANAGEMENT ETHICS AND EXPECTED TO EAT LEFTOVERS.
