You step back in time as you walk in. Friendly community vibe pub, untouched by time. We visited to be greeted with re-enactments, outside bars and BBQ, great fun and great ale, supplied by their own brewery.
Real good old fashioned pub frequented by locals.nGood choice of local beers, and No TV No slot machines. Thank you landlord.
A historal grade II listed old pub, lovely building and area. It has changing great guest ales, a good selection of other drinks including lager beers too. The new friendly, welcoming management team seems to be doing well and the locals seem to have taken to the new team.nA drinkers pub, competitive and reasonably priced drinks and ales and also is now a venue for country music nights.nWorth a visit most definitely and Ellesmere is a lovely town with some gorgeous buildings, good restaurants, local shops, supermarkets and the Llangollen canal is never too far away from the centre of the town itself...
Pub of dreams! Great farmhouse cider available too as well as ales and lagers and the rest. It's not a food pub it's a proper pub!
Brilliant. Superb local people were very welcoming and let me play my music on Tuesday acoustic night, had a cracking good night
