We had a fabulous Sunday lunch here. The food was lovely and the staff were patient with us whilst we decided on drinks.nWe couldn't manage desert as the portion sizes of starter and main were generous.nOne of the group had a very over cooked Yorkshire pudding which the staff very quickly swapped out, with no issue, when it was pointed out.nOnly one star taken off as when a friendly dog came in well behaved, no issue with it one staff member stroked the dog and allowed it to lick them - I didn't see any evidence of hand washing, although we left soon after.nWould certainly return, would recommend booking as they were busy.
This impeccably decorated and furnished hotel is perfect for a luxurious and comfortable relaxing stay.nThe room I chose looked across to the church and village green. It was on the high street but there is little traffic after 21.00. I had all the windows open and was never disturbed by vehicle noises.nStaff helpful and considerate.
I won a voucher in a raffle to spend at The White Hart !! Best prize ever pending a win on EuroMillionsnThe sun was shining & neither mum nor I wanted to cook lunch…nEverything was top notch from the sparkling clean toilets to the smart decor. The garden beds and planters were full of healthy flowering plants, a detail often missed at pubs with outdoor space. And no smoking on the terrace too nThere were 3 menus to choose from - casual, set meal and à la carte - so plenty of choice and each priced accordingly.nI had lamb chops - crispy fat and pink in the middle - perfik served with heritage beetroots and beans. Mum had the dressed crab which was sat on pebbles and served with salad and triple fried salty chips, which stayed crispy even as they cooled.nI couldn’t resist the lure of freshly made in house ices and had a perfect combo of chocolate ice cream and cherry sorbet. Mum had the very chocolatey mousse which was artfully arranged with biscuits and boozy cherries to a fine dining standard.nTop marks to the lovely staff too, especially Harrison who really does go the extra mile for his customers.nHighly recommended, good idea to book and we’re definitely going back
Had the best Sunday lunch here. We were really lucky to get a table as we hadn’t booked and it was Mothers Day. The staff were so friendly and the service was excellent. The roast is one of the best I have had in ages - quality meat and lovely vegetables. The menu is great, giving so much choice, not just roasts on a Sunday. The dessert choices felt fresh and modern and the baked Alaska we chose was divine! Will definitely be back - what a great place, clearly a great kitchen team and front of house.
Another wonderful weekend at the White Hart. Stayed here with a family party for my Mum’s 80th - after staying here last year and having a wonderful time. The staff are just incredible - friendly and unwaveringly kind and welcoming. The rooms were very comfortable - I travel a lot and rarely sleep so well in a hotel right away. Some really lovely touches like books in the window nook, local craft recommendations, and a lovely little treat of a chocolate. We ate dinner in the restaurant twice - once from their standard menu, and again from the casual one. Both were excellent meals. Cocktails were also very, very good. Definitely will be back again!!
