Absolutely perfect roast beef lunch in an absolutely perfect pub! Karen and her team are brilliant and give you such a warm welcome. Added bonus.... We bumped into friends there too!
What a place. The interior is cozy, warm and rustic. The staff are absolutely fantastic, very attentive, friendly and know the menu well. The waitress welcomed us in, made us feel comfortable, and recommended we get the homemade steak and ale pie, which I thought sounded a bit dear at £17. However, let me tell you - that was not only the best pie I ever had - that was one of the nicest dishes I ever had. wow. I was honestly gutted that we were only in the area for the day. So thank you, because I would genuinely make that 2.5hour drive down there again just to have that pie. Absolutely Incredible.
The staff are excellent, faultless. The food was worth every penny, and very very tasty. The IPA was served at the perfect temperature..the courtyard garden was well spaced, and a south facing sun trap. Treat yourself you won't be disappointed.
A lovely friendly pub with a sunny garden, really helpful and friendly service and the food all tasted delicious. I have been here many times and will definitely be returning.
First visit and definitely won't be our last ! The food was amazing, my husband had the steak and ale pie and it was FULL of steak he couldn't believe how much was in there. My ham, egg and chips was delicious. The ham was full of flavour and not a string of fat in sight. The staff were friendly and attentive. See you all again soon. P.s bring back the mac cheese pleeeeeeease xxx
