Came in for our dinner for 10 booked for 6pm on 17/12/22. They was very, very strict about seats and swapping food or changing meals, yet they changed my meal completely by a whole different sauce that my meal was in. Couldn't eat it at all, which was very clear. Left completely starving. They never cared or asked why I couldn't eat it, zero cares given. No offer to reduce the cost of my dinner considering it was completely different to what I actually ordered. Never would have ordered otherwise. Disgusting meal. Will never go back and will be advising everybody I possibly can to never, ever visit.
First time we came here, it was great. Really nice guy behind the bar. Friendly, helpful. Food was good. Drinks were alright. Pool table and dart board there is decent too. Really great experience. Second time there. Not great. Lady behind the bar really couldn't be bothered. Looked miserable and seemed like she didn't want to be there. Said we could order food but only a limited menu as the chef wasn't in and the lady didn't want to cook many things. So we said about a burger and then was told we could only order the basic and if we wanted to order it had to be right there and then as the lady didn't want to cook for much longer. The general atmosphere was completely different this time. We decided not to order food as we guessed that the lady in the kitchen would probably not cook it well as she obviously couldn't be arsed. We would come here again but would probably leave if the same staff were on. The guy with the beard is definitely a member of staff that should have praise. The miserable lady with dark hair needs a drink.
Only been a few times but I already love this traditional pub
Great fresh beer, but not cheap. Younger staff are really friendly and the redeeming feature of the place, hence two stars. The person we believe is the landlady is consistently surly, rude and unwelcoming. Last time we went they clearly wanted to have a private party without shutting the pub and had that Crazy Frog song on repeat from a child’s phone. It’s our local but after 10 largely disappointing visits have given up on this place. Shame.
Nice pub, and pool table and darts board which are bonuses. Garden large and sunny. However the prices... wow. One shandy and a coke and it came to £8.30...!
My local, the new management are making steady progress improving this pub, great position as well.
Really good burger and a lovely pint of lager. Thanks guys
I attended a wake here and the landlady made a scene and misquoted the licencing law about my son drinking a shandy otherwise the score w have been higher.
I had Chicken Tikka masala , it was lovely, chicken perfectly cooked. Sooo good. Will definitely be going back. My husband had Bass he too loved it. Staff so friendly and helpful. Definitely worth 5 stars.
Popped in here for a pint and some lunch. Corona measures are good. Table service was excellent - the waitress was on point. Beer was very good however the food was a bit pricey for the portion sizes. Burger and chips is better part of £7 with very few chips and a simple burger... But the quality was there so can't really complain. Overall a nice little pub!
