We recently visited your restaurant to ring in the New Year and I have to say, we're thoroughly impressed. The atmosphere was great and the new year decorations were fantastic. The food was also very good and the dancing and music added an extra touch of excitement to the night. But the real standout was our waitress, Sue. She was incredibly friendly and had a great sense of humor. She really made the night special for us. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience and we will definitely be returning in the future. Thank you for such a memorable evening!
The Weir hosted my mother-in-law's belated 70th private birthday celebration in the conservatory area, which overlooked the garden area next to the water. Here's what she had to say: The room was lovely and bright, and nicely decorated with flowers and balloons, with a designated table for the buffet. We were looked after well by Jackie, and had our own dedicated member of staff for the duration of the party, who soon got into the swing of things and looked after my guests' wishes...filling up the glasses, replenishing the food on the plates, taking away empty ones, so everything look neat and tidy. Joanne also arranged for a little cheeseboard laid out after the dinner at no extra cost to me, and I was allowed to bring my own Birthday cake at no extra cost. There was some gentle background music, 'golden oldies', before the resident band arrived and played some really good songs - one of my guests hinted he might want to come back for a pint j ust to hear the band play! Speaking to my friends and neighbours afterwards, they all had positive things to say. They said the food was delicious, that they enjoyed themselves and that it was a great venue. Others said they had a really lovely evening and that it was a great atmosphere with nice ambience. The pub's communication with me was professional throughout and I am very pleased with how well everything went. Thank you!
Nice place nice beer and nice people around, my only comment that it was super cold inside and radiators was not working! Otherwise is good.
Came here on my visit to London. Sat in the beer garden at the back . Was a lovely setting . Food was delicious. I ordered the pizza which was freshly made next to us in the beer garden . Also ordered the fish and chips and was brilliant . Very impressed . Waitress's and waiters were kind and helpful. Great prices for the fresh food .
We booked here for a late dinner after watching a rugby game nearby. On arriving to what appeared to be an empty pub we were apprehensive but walking through and into the garden is like going through the wardrobe I to Narnia! Suddenly we were in a lovely open space, full of laughter and conversation... It felt like normal life was starting again! The staff were friendly and attentive, the pizzas delicious and the vibe - including aDJ for a birthday party in a private area - was perfect! We'll definitely be back.
Celebrated a special birthday here. Began with 2 for 1 cocktails - the Tuesday night offer. Wouldn’t make the same choice again. We ate Oysters and Padron Peppers to start, followed by sharing Chateaubriand with a bottle of red French wine. Amazing & why we will return! The waiter was pleasant and helpful. He allowed us to keep the table for the evening, so no rush to order food or leave when finished eating. From the outside, the place looks quite pretentious with a dress code sign on the inner door. Whatever ‘smart dress’ means, jeans with a tee shirt & a tracksuit were worn by others without any fuss. Christmas tree & decorations are up!
First visit was dinner on a Friday night. Great food. oysters, sea bass, famous burger etc. Great location, good decor, excellent staff. 2nd visit was the Irish breakfast brunch a day later. Very good indeed, highly recommended. Final visit was a light Sunday lunch in the garden overlooking the Weir itself. Lovely location. So, as you can imagine, we loved the Weir and would highly recommend it!
We found this place by accident when we were looking for somewhere to eat, we really fancied pizzas and this place didn't disappoint! Really tasty wood fired oven pizzas and friendly helpful waitress. The pizzas are cooked fresh to order so they did come out at different times but it was OK as the pizzas were so big the kids shared while they waited for theirs!
It is a nice venue. The inside seating seems quite spacious. The main course, Sunday Roast lamb seemed a bit fatty, although we were a late in the day roast dinner cover. I was surprised to be told there would be a charge for extra gravy. The Eton Mess desert was good. The cocktails provided to my table companions were good, but not great. Service was good.
Came in for Sunday lunch, best roast I’ve had in England and living here 12 years. Lovely staff and great atmosphere with Jorge on the guitar. Will be back.Recommended dishesPork Belly Sunday Roast
