Hired room out for 100 quid and a small buffet for 180!! Bit expensive but thought it was nice enough to have a small gathering for an engagement, all we had was staff coming in complaining about stuff tbh mood went cos was waiting for someone coming up to us all night first it was balloons and if they had confetti in they had to get rid of them? Explaining if there was in them or ended up in floor we be charged 100 pound!!! Never stated on day of booking! Then it was close exit doors was boiling everyone was struggling with heat, then turn base down? Strange tbh, then found out was compliant about where plastic trays was we t cleaned food table up and disposed of all rubbish didn’t think they would save them tbh! a mean 180 for about 8 trays of food and he wanted to save plastic trays! They was in a bin bag so he could have got em out! Again day something beforehand! Communication on all these things was shocking tbh maybe next time your sat doing contract let people know these things instead of pestering on the night! Was really nice when booking but miserable as hell on the night and everyone knew as they was all saying what a misery! Was only a small group hardy had any cleaning up to do but still mardy, the two pence machine also have grotty sweets in them they looked like they had been on the machine for years! Why not spend a few pound on better things instead of gammy opened sweets and then people may use them more! Grotty and the bathrooms was disgustingly tbh no lock on one door broken tiles… foul! So maybe we should have complained all night hey !!!! Wouldn’t recommend and would not use again! Many said the same!
Its a good venue to host a party or as I do, attend car shows on a Saturday evening. Anything from a modified piece to a Sunday classic can attend and the landlord usually puts on the bbq in warmer weather. Theres a play area for the kids and generally dog friendly. The site is flat for the most part with disabled access
