Έχω να πω τα καλύτερα για το ξενοδοχείο και του ιδιοκτήτες! Η κυρία Άντζελα ευγενέστατη, πρόσχαρη, με χιούμορ, πρόθυμη να βοηθήσει, φιλική και προσιτή σε όλους! Το δωμάτιο ευρύχωρο, το κρεβάτι μεγάλο και άνετο, δεν του έλειπε τίποτα. Ο χώρος πεντακάθαρος. Το πρωινό ήταν πλούσιο, με μεγάλη ποικιλία και ολα φτιαγμένα με μεράκι. Μπράβο σε όλους τους υπαλλήλους και την ευγένειά τους! Θα σας προτιμήσουμε σίγουρα ξανά στις διακοπές μας στα Χανιά. Ευχαριστούμε για όλα!
Παρά πολύ όμορφο και καθαρό ξενοδοχείο . Είτε για ζευγάρια, είτε για οικογένεια, φουλ προσβάσιμο για αμαξίδια, πεντανόστιμο πρωινό και απίστευτα φιλικό περιβάλλον. Οι ιδιοκτήτες σε κάνουν να νιώθεις σαν το σπιτι σου. Εύκολο πάρκινγκ, ήσυχη γειτονιά και απέναντι από μίνι μάρκετ. Πάρα πολύ κοντά στην πολη των Χανίων. Θα το ξανά προτιμήσουμε.

This was our second visit to the Water Lily and we would return it has become our “second” home. We rented a 2 bedroom apartment that featured a well equipped kitchen, living space with television, a dining area for 4-6 and 4 balconies! We had our breakfast on one every morning. The space is well laid out, maintained to a high standard and regular cleaning/towel changes. The breakfast is more than you will ever need. It has everything you can imagine including Cretan specialties. If you are lucky you will get a chance to taste the owners Angela own creation sweets, amazing! Breakfast is served until 10:30 and they will make you a specialty coffee! Please tip Helen at the end, she works so hard to make your breakfast amazing. You are getting great value anyway! There is a beautiful pool on site. Very clean, perfect temperature and kid friendly with a shallow area. There are some water toys other guests have left behind. We had to ourselves most days, but never gets busy and always had loungers available. Kalathas Beach is a 10 minute walk taking the short cut down to the right. Or a one minute drive down a winding road. Be careful as parking is tight and drivers are nuts here! Take the short cut and avoid the main road by walking and parking can be hectic. Loungers are 2 for 10 euro with umbrella. There is a taverna at the beach where u can have a great lunch, snacks and every beverage u can imagine including coffee. It’s a great, clean local beach..only downfall is toilets, not great at all. This is a great beach for the afternoon or a break from one of the other further famous beaches. I would highly recommend the water Lily..we will be returning. And Angela, thank you so much for making your place so amazing! Πολύ άνετα , καθαρά και μεγάλα δωμάτια εξοπλισμένα με τα πάντα, πολυ κοντά στα Χανιά, υπέροχο πρωινό με φρέσκα υλικά, πολύ ευγενικοί και εξυπηρετικοί ιδιοκτήτες που μας βοήθησαν σε ότι ζητήσαμε, το συνιστώ ανεπιφύλακτα.Rooms: 5/5
Booked with Booking.com period 22-24 Aug, no cancellation possible. Over email with hotel staff asked for early checkin at 11:00 and they replied that it will be possible. When we arrived around the arranged checkin time, we were welcomed by a woman at reception with the words "Your room is ready, but tomorrow you will have to move to a different room". Apparently they had some overlapping bookings due to system issue which resulted in the hotel being overbooked. We were disappointed and surprised to hear that and our reaction was visible to the woman at reception, to which she said "Why, what's the problem?". Obviously changing rooms in between the two nights we have booked some 7 days ago is not desirable as it is time consuming and inconvenient. Reception staff at this place simply does not understand that. We requested to see the room. The room was looking nice and clean. We requested to stay only one night and for them to cancel our second night. The reaction was "But why??? Cancellation is not possible." The reception woman suggested that she asks some other guests to move to the room they have prepared for us for them to provide uninterrupted 2-night stay, then we should wait for them to clean and prepare the room and only then we can go to the room. I told them we don't agree for the following reasons: 1 We don't want other people to be moving rooms because of us 2 The hotel will no longer provide the early check-in they have agreed for. After discussion we requested that the reception woman should give us a few minutes to discuss what to do. She left us alone at reception desk and we discussed that finally we will accept their conditions to change rooms the next day. When reception woman returned to us she said that she already arranged for other guests to move rooms and now we should wait until 2:00 o'clock for checkin. We did say we never agreeded to that and we actually asked her to wait for us to discuss and not to take action. At this point the woman stopped communicating with us and she said she cannot say to those guests that they don't have to move so that we can proceed with what they initially suggested - take the room now and move to a different one the next day. We walked out of the hotel and contacted Booking.com to complain and request refund for the reason of the hotel not being able to provide what was booked. Booking.com requested from the accommodation place cancellation without fees and the hotel accepted. Exceptionally arrogant and impolite behaviour at reception. Usually staff should be kind and patient and work with you to solve problems. Very bad communication skills. This easily could have been a 5-star review if the hotel was communicating better with their guests and had polite reception staff. What reception staff could have done for example is they could have actually moved the guests from their last minute reservation that overbooked their rooms from one room to another before we arrived and give us a room for 2 nights without interruption and we never would even known this happened. Or they could have cancelled the reservation that resulted in this problem. Or they could have agreed to cancel our second night. They could have offered a room rate discount to make up for the issue. There were options. Instead the reception woman assumed guests will be okay to change their room on the second day of a 2-day stay.
