First time there today. Had smashed avo and poached eggs on top of toast. Was nice but pricey when my regular cafe sells Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon for less. However, I would go back because the service was good and the food was good. Nice large mug of tea too!Food: 4/5
Hopefully this is just a one off bad experience but we went to this cafe for breakfast and I was so disappointed. The £5 bacon sandwich had 2 rashers of bacon that were so over cooked I couldn’t bite through, my sandwich was cold and had hair in my avocado. The waitress saw me take the hair out of food and just said oh sorry. Not particularly great service and food very disappointing
On checking the menu nothing suitable for vegans but owners happy to offer something to eat jacket potatoe and baked beans which was delicious. Next time we visit they are willing to cook tomatoes on toast or mushrooms lots of options so can say it is OK for vegans to visit.Coffee wit Oat Milk great.
Had a lovely BLT bloomer sandwich here, decided to eat out as there is the Mere Pond, where thoughtfully someone spend a lot of time and money on his flower garden and this gave me something nice to look at. Food was tasty and staff helpful and polite.
Best coffee and even better staff if that’s possible!!! This is the perfect spot to enjoy the best coffee with the friendliest staff. They go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and always have huge smiles on their faces. The view is also beautiful, looking out at the cute ducks and famous swans of Walton. You HAVE to give this place a visit and if you do you wont stop coming back! :

We love The Village Cafe. Always friendly and cheerful service no matter how busy they get. It does get busy especially on a sunny Sunday morning with a lot of cyclists and dog walkers. Good cafe foods and drinks.
I ordered a skinny flat white and was brought a latte, rather than remaking it they appear to have tipped the same coffee from a tall glass into a cup. Either that or they just don’t know how to make a flat white. It was really milky, not what I ordered at all. I also had poached eggs and smashed avocado on toast and was given a stingy amount of avocado, no seasoning or lemon. All ingredients seemed quite cheap, including the coffee. They weren’t particularly friendly either. Won’t be returning!
