We had a lovely lunch here last week with our dog. They are very dog friendly and provide bowls of water and yummy dog treats. The food was yummy and the atmosphere and decor was lovely. My dog was very chilled!Food: 5/5
Had the Sunday share platter. Basically two roast dinners with all the trimmings, £40. Couldn't fault any of the food, plenty to go around. Friendly staff. The Guinness is a good 7/10Food: 5/5
Went for an evening meal with a group of friends and had a great night. Excellent food and wine, all at reasonable prices. We enjoyed lamb shank, steak and chicken fajitas with plenty of wine. Dan, our waiter, was worthy of special praise - helpful, courteous, friendly and not intrusive! We will be going again soon.Food: 5/5
Had a lovely catch up meal here with friends on a Friday lunchtime. I have eaten at other JW Lees establishments and found the food at this particularly good and well presented. The sea bass is normally available in the evening but the made an exception and 3 of us ordered it. I had the cheese pie which was delicious.
Probably the best Sunday roast I’ve had in a while! Very nice, relaxed atmosphere. Attentive and polite staff. Beautiful decor inside and out! Definitely worth a visit!

Spent beautiful afternoon with friends. Amazing food and space outside to rest in the sun with couple of drinks. Fish and chips is absolutely delicious! Recommend everyone for any occasion. Staff is very attentive and accommodating! 10/10
Fantastic food let down by mostly abysmal service. Service at the bar was great, and drinks were reasonably priced for the area. We were told there was table service, however no one came over to take any food or drink orders. We eventually went up to the bar to order, after which it took a full hour for our food to arrive. To their credit, one of the staff did come over while we were eating to ask if everything was alright with the food and asked if we wanted more drinks. Between 4 of us, we had the Cajun chicken, vegetarian curry and seabass, which everyone thoroughly enjoyed and were presented beautifully. Would go again, but wouldn’t return if service was the same. Could’ve been short staffed or had new staff on. Definitely ideal for drinks if you want somewhere quieter and roomier than most bars in the area.
