We come here yearly for New Year's Day meal, except January 2021 because of lockdown ‍ hands down the best fish and chips in East Anglia we love the food, the vibes and the service. Price of drinks and food are a bit more expensive than your usual family restaurants but you get what you pay for all being well, we will be back again New Year's Day 2023 for the family lunch

Back for another visit on our last night in Suffolk. We both went fishy again: Ann had the fish pie and I the locally smoked haddock and mussels - just wonderful. One of our holiday highlights.
Really enjoyed, great service and food. Plates are big so we shared a main and chips, very nice. Staff very friendly and attentive. Great location for walks, kayaking and ferry.
A little disappointing. I have been a few times over the years but the chips on this occasion on both meals were a “greasy mess”. Clearly needed new cooking oil I did mention when I paid for the bill only to be told it was just changed. I have cooked and eaten chips for over 50 years. I’m fully aware of when oil needs to be changed as this is exactly what happens to chips when cooked in old oil. No effort to make things right when I mentioned this. We were also not checked during our meal by any staff. And even when our plates were collected with chips left uneaten, still no checks to make sure everything was ok! I expected more from the Ferry Boat.
Gorgeous and clean. A very unassuming pub, perfectly located for a blustery walk by the sea. I didn't try the food but other reviews tell you all about that. One of the cleanest establishments I have visited in recent times. Back of house is fabulous, even the cellar is gleaming, and the attention to detail is everywhere. I will be back for food.
Lovely unspoilt pub in Old Felixstowe Close to the river. Great outdoor seating for when the weather is nice and a lovely interior with plenty of tables.
Sited close to Felixstowe Ferry with dedicated free parking. Indoor and outdoor seating. Unfortunately we went for lunch on Tuesday when the only menu option was fish and chips. Fortunately there was a good variety of fish, from skate to scampi, to choose from and our haddock was delicious in a tasty light batter with real chips and mushy peas. Option of normal or smaller portions. Friendly, helpful staff and lovely atmosphere. Will definitely be going back on a different day of the week to try the full menu.
Lovely pub in a beautiful location - excellent food and great staff! Absolutely recommend.
