Visited for a quiet meal midweek. Reception and service were fantastic. Really made to feel at home. The meal was amazing, well presented, and tasted delicious. Will definitely be back.
Visited here this weekend and had a wonderful meal. Being local i wasnt expecting this to be honest. They are obviously trying to make it more upmarket and they are doing quite a good job. The decor is clean, fresh and cosy. The bar area seems quite well set up. The resteraunt wasnt too big, and afterdinner drinks were enjoyed in a sittingroom area with comfy couches.nFood was very good too and the wines were decent too. Not a cheap meal by any means but worth the money, as it seems to be good produce, which is cooked and served to a high standard.
It's back!nRecently reopened and with refurbished almost everything!!!nIt's great to see the Udny Arms with a new lease of life, really well done to the family that have taken on the place.nWe had a lovely meal with enthusiastic staff taking care of us. The menu has something for everyone and more that enough to tempt us back to try some more.nnThe Udny Arms at Newburgh was a fantastic place for many decades, but things went wrong for a while, and it closed down for several years. Now it's back with a good offer that will get us all back again.nA really big thank you to the family that have put all the time effort and money into getting the place up and running. Well done.
Stayed for 4 nights this May 2024. Absolutely recommend this place for a quality stay. Excellent service, exquisite food and all the little touches of a top notch hotel. From the daily cookies left on the dresser to the doggie biscuits, we were treated from the moment we walked through the beautiful blue door. Family run and friendly to the core, all of the staff made sure we were well attended and provided plenty of insightful conversation and recommendations for tourist attractions and things to go in the area. Breakfast is a must and the smoked salmon w/ scrambled eggs is not your average!! 100% chance of a return visit. Can't wait. Special mentions to Sandra and Kirsty.
Very enjoyable Sunday lunch here. Really friendly staff and a warm welcome. It is so good to see the Udny Arms open once again. I hadn't been for many years, but used to visit a lot when I was young and it brought back wonderful memories. The famous Sticky Toffee Pudding is as delicious as it always was! Will definitely be back.
