Great breakfast today. Popped in about 10am, busy but there was a table free. Quick to order and arrive. Tables were being cleared and cleaned quickly too. Would recommend.
They opened last weekend, so we thought we would try, and I am glad we did great food and friendly service I highly recommend you come ample parking. Great for bikers on a ride out. Sunday they stop serving food at 2.30pm but you can still grab a cup of tea and close at 3.30pm.
Spent a lot of money looking for a delicious steak, i have tried places that charged £15 all the way up to £50.. and all of them, never reached my minimum expectations no flavour Until i found this place and my god, it's really really good, it's tender and most important has FLAVOUR, ITS DELICIOUS. As a result i always ask for 4 steaks!!!!
This used to be a 5star for me, but now under new management and its shocking to be honest. Especially compared to how it was. The quality of the food and portions sizes have dropped. The breakfast tasted bland compared to what used to be served here. Lots of free tables when we arrived but a queue going far out the door as the new owners/staff taking the orders where particularly slow. Maybe this is just teething problems as new management adjust to how busy/popular this place is and will improve with time... but again the food is just nowhere near as nice and they are obviously using different suppliers for the food they use... which is inferior in my opinion. So disappointing as the food and service here used to be top notch and hard to beat. It was a proper family run business and the magic seems to have left with the previous owners selling =
Since new owners took over you can see they are certainly trying to make things better. Great service as always and great atmosphere, but the little things like a cold plate with hot food make it disappointing. Sorry but they also can't make scrambled egg, it's was too runny. The tiny chicken burger with a tiny bit of salad I'd also not great. Many other dishes are good and tasty but it's just a few teething problems.
Have been to this cafe several times and always find the staff friendly and very helpful. Food was really good and arrived quickly and freshly cooked. There is ample free parking. Do need to remember that payment is cash only. Would definitely recommend.
Enjoyed my breakfast. I had number 5 which was the Vegetarian breakfast. Good value . A slight mishap with a crafty meat sausage making an appearance on my plate, but after letting the guys know, they promptly apologised and served a new fresh plate. Very professionally dealt with . Thank you. Would go again.
Just not as good.. me and my wife have been going here for many years. New management. First thing I noticed when going to the counter was the brand of the sweeteners for the coffee.. the cheapest brand in every supermarket. At that point I knew they cheaped out. The coffee wasn't good at all! Next up the food.. they forgot my sausages and toast and messed up my wife's order. When it was all sorted literally everything tasted cheap.. like a cheap hotel breakfast. And I mean everything.. the sausages.. bacon.. beans.. chips.. all tasted cheap. The only thing saving this from 1 star is the staff are friendly and welcoming. I hope they see this and give the old owners a call and ask who the suppliers they used are!
What a selection! Not just fry ups. Great dinners with gravy. Great hot puds with custard. What more does a guy want? Oh yes a friendly face. Excellent!Food: 4/5
Very busy cafe that offers an excellent range of food and choices. Food arrives quickly and is of a good quality. Plenty of seating and condiments on each table. A great place for breakfasts if you need a quick stop.
